I read it is the mineral glas stuff that they use on the T650i which is scratch resistant I'd say. Scratch proof kind of sounds like you could go at it with a screw and a hammer and it'd still be alright...

OK guys! It's here!
First impressions:
Keypad is gonna take a LOT of getting used to. I keep pressing 5 for select.
Menu seems fine, speed wise - except for the animation when the menu opens. Seems a little juddery.
Speaker seems ok. Nice and loud and clear.
Marble madness game is a nightmare to control! Clever though.
Only real branding I've found so far is the GPRS indicator, the O2 active icon, startup and shutdown screens. Otherwise looks clean.
Themes are very boring apart from the precision laser one.
Battery cover has some wiggle to it.
Came with 512MB M2.
The camera ring on the back, and the light on the camera button are both very cool indeed.
D-pad is quite responsive, with careful practice should be fine.
Thing has quite a bit of bulk to it! Weighty little blighter!
As mentioned, fingerprint heaven.
Aside from the battery cover, feels very solid indeed.
And pics are here. Any questions feel free to ask!
Pics!
Oh! and software version is R1CA029

Lines up side of the phone don't glow at all. Just the light on the camera shutter button (which is cool in itself!)
The touch buttons are...interesting. I don't hate them like I thought I would. Important thing to remember is that you touch the screen, not the white lines underneath. So there's always gonna be fingerprints on the screen unfortunately.
Colour on the screen is nice and deep.
Transition between portrait and landscape mode is a bit slow.
And flicking through pictures is a bit different to the K800. On the K800 it would show you a "low res" version and then after a couple of seconds would refresh it with a high res one. The K850 shows it refreshing, so you see a "line of quality" run down the screen with each picture.
I'd say saving a 5MP picture takes roughly 4-5 seconds, but the shutter acts basically immediately. Which is good! The preview before seems quite sluggish though. Not very high refresh rate. Like a K800 on night mode.
Video viewfinder is MUCH faster, though, and indeed, the frame rate on recorded videos is very good too
Bluetooth name doesn't exist any more. You name the phone instead.
Phone takes longer to respond to an unlock keys request (pressing *)

I'm aware that there should a marble game but I think Vodafone must have had it removed (god knows why) from their firmware. I'm having other troubles with this phone in that every time I open the media browser it crashes and restarts the phone. Almost in the way a poor PC will blue screen and the way W800i s used to white screen a lot. I'm going to have to take it back for a replacement.

yeah there seems to be something wrong with your phone
is there any way for you to update firmware?
I never use branded phones so I have no idea how that works |
