You didnt think this thru. The whole purpose of the lens protector is to reduce the lens from getting dirty. Now the lens get dirty easily which defeats the purpose of the lens cover in the first place.

You obviously don't realize that the main function of the lens protector (in all types of camera) is to prevent intense light from entering, which could otherwise be very harmful for the lens. This function is much more important than protection from dust and even scrath protection.
In the K850 case all these 3 functions are well covered.

no, we mean, why is a lens cover there? not the glas one. but that shuter, that openes when u open camera aplication. why did they put it in, if there alredy is a plastic cover in front of the lens. it, could brake down and u'll have big inconviniance, cause u'll have to take phone to repair shop. and i't makes the phone more exspensive. and it takes more time that te camera starts(cause the suter has to be opened).

or it has some other meaning than just keeping away the dust(whitc there arent any-cause of the plastic cover)

this isnt a statement against K850, but QVGA on a 2.4'' screen is not too pixelated, infact its not pixelated at all. i've seen iMATE devices with 2.8'' screens which are QVGA and are perfectly fine.

I've compared my K790 with N73 side by side and the K790 screen looks much sharper.

I have argued with QVGA earlier about 2.0, 2.2, 2.4 whatsoever.
And from that discussion, we're just different. Some people like the screen to be large, while the others like them to be small with more sharpness.

For me 2.2" even is too large. As for QVGA 2.8" may be just not large enough. [addsig]

I can remember reading it somewhere - probably here - from someone reliable (shaliron? xumdeo?) that the k850i will hit shops in Europe on the 41st week, that being the week starting with Monday, October 8th.

I don't know how accurate this info is, and , of course, SE can change it any time.

BTW, it appears to me that the k850i is ready and the HW is finalized so it's only some firmware refinement that needs to be done (the first photos looked awful). Why hold it back until October? do they really need 4 months to work out the bugs and ramp up production?

(edited for spelling)

I hope that the external glass protector is indeed scratch resistant, otherwise the troubles it could create would be more than its advantages.

I have seen this asked a couple of times but not really answered, sry if I missed it but, does the k850 support flash menus?
I don't really like the old icons in the fron menu and I think the contrast between the main menu and the new media psp style menu is way too big.
