a great news for me, want to share it here, may be all of u people already know this..
Telenor has launched edge all over the country and that's realy great..
Telenor is going high and high and high..

@meero: where did you get this information from? i haven't noticed any such thing while using my telenor account in lahore.. also mobile tv has nothing to do with edge as it isn't an edge exclusive service but instead works on gprs.. the presence of edge in certain places merely improves its performance. |

So strange dear, im living in vehari near multan, yesterday i put my telenor sim in my mobile and the logo of "EDGE" "e" was appear on my mobile, then i surf on net a while and check my mails.. and it works fantastic and fast..
so strange that in small city like vehari the service edge is on and in big city like lahore edge is availabe but only on limited locations like the mall, liberty and etc i think in that area's..
and second i think edge is very essential for mobile tv coz heavy data has to be transfered and it definitely needs speed to transfer.. and edge is the solution.
am i right? |

hi.i am using cracked rok tv on p910 with warid gprs.it works ok on warid with gprs.soon i insert the telenor sim in my w810 and see if edge present here or not

it is really a great news.
i also belongs to vehari (Garha Moor) but lives in Islamabad.
but telenot doesnot give EDGE where its service is. becuase even a tower just a few meter away from my house doesnot have EDGE enabled.
but may be in near future we will have country wide EDGE. |

No edge in isb. too.. very strange, then why in vehari? maybe they get to know that im living here.. hehe

even if telenor provides edge in whole pakistan in near future.it is of no use for me and other heavy gprs users until it provides some gprs unlimited usage package

only Indigenous mobile operator is Ufone which is a private company of the Pakistan telecom

i didnot said that Islamabad doesnot have EDGE it has EDGE but in some parts of the city Telenor has lots of BTS even my area is covered with EDGE but one tower doesnot have EDGE enabled.
may be it is good for light user like u (if iam correct) but it is not for heavy user like me.

you can always use mobilink edge, they have unlimited GPRS package. |

ah dont take name of this shity company. i just cant find the right words to show my hate and anger for this company,
i have used Indigo GPRS for three months so first of all it only has EDGE service in some really small areas, only in Marriot and F-10 so i am not that rich to live in these area.
i even tried to use EDGE in this area but whenever my fone shows that iam connected with EDGE tower my download stops and i was unable to brows and when i connected to GPRS tower every thing goes back to normal. and when i ask about this problem from their representative they said "Yes, there is a problem in the Network and our enginears are working" and 3months had been past, same problem like day one.
