Hey...
How do we update from SEUS
Main Menu -> Settings ->General -> Update Service
there is searchs for update....
is that right..!!
coz when i did that....it says am having latest software..
which is R4DB005...which isnt latest..!!
So what do i do now..!! any other way

Download the update-service-program located on the SE web-page to your pc, and try that . |

I installed UPDATE SERVICE from the Software CD..
When i run the program it contacted Sony Server...and downloaded some updates..!!
and then while auto executing...
it shows this error
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
So how do i update my firmware..and is there any special care to be taken while doin it.??

I obviously couldn't read the whole thread.. would someone care to tell if there are any noteworthy changes in this new firmware as compared to the last one? Is it worth upgrading? Thanks |

yes its worth , because the battery life time has increased obviously after upgrade , so go for upgrade it |

After updating to R4EA031 I'm having lots of trouble with my memory stick. Exept from a backup of the phonebook, I've only got mp3's on it. Often when I change track, I get a reading error. Sometimes no sound at all for seconds, and then a long sharp sound, sometimes just the tone.
Never had any trouble like that (maybe a few times) before updating.
I've tried formatting the card seceral times, but it hasn't changed a thing.
Also tried another card - same thing.
Any one else with this problem??
Tinking about trying to reflash the fw again.

Ok I've got a situation with my W810; more of an inquiry actually.
If my device has been unlocked or unbranded with a service; not Wotan the other popular one. Why would I have information of my MSDuoPro with 3 text files; one specifically stating what firmware my W810 has??
Should I be careful with upgrading?

ok; I selected English USA & United Kingdom and my phone is UP TO DATE; according to SEUS v2.6.4.9.
the files on my W810 memory card are ...

I just checked and realized the R4EA031 update set my startup screen to Soundwave.jpg
I changed it back to the default and it's all good now

hey guys,
im new here. just thought id share some of my concerns acout the new firmware (R4EA031).
1) graphical issue with the new events menu
2) hardly any diffenence between the bass and megabass preset (when listening thgrough the HPM70 earphones)
3) audio player quality deteriorated
4) audio player volume reduced
Is anyone else having any of the problems mentioned above?
Frankly im really disappointed with the new firmware and would like to switch back to the previous FW (R4DB005) but i dont think this is possible. Im just hoping that sony has been informed of these issues and they will be rectified in the next firmware.

I used http://www.wotanserver.com/ to get back to the other firmware. It really did not like my phone. "Playback failed" over and over again.. Grr! |

Is it just me or the R4DB005 is a step back speaking about the camera, because I have noticed that comparing it to the R4CK003 the videos are more pixelated and the pictures have lost sharpness.
What do you think??
