Most suppliers ordering branded versions from manufacturers sign a "limited support" agreement. That means they get the software in the phone adapted and they get the phones cheaper. But - they get less support than the original software (because they don't pay it), mostly only 2 or 3 updates are included (if any) and most of them are scheduled in advance.
I'm working in this business and I know how these contracts look like.
So I suppose it's up to Three to give the money to include the latest changes into their software. But my experience shows that this won't happen until there is some really serious bug that would leave the phone useless. As that's not the case (at least from the perspective of Three) no new software for the next few months (if any).
That's why I prefer to buy unbranded (generic) phones, even though I have to pay two or three times as much...

damn thats a pain....wudnt it be cheaper for you to buy branded phones then debrand them though?
also i did contact sony ericsson about this through their website and they sed give them 2-3 weeks and its been that long now and still no update. i think ill just debrand it after my warranty is up(in about 11months...) |

Hi guys, anyone experienced USB charging failure w/ your K610i? Left mine plugged to a pc USB for hours (i wasn't using it), the "lightning" symbol was on the batt indicator, but the charge % didn't increase. "USB charging" was on under service settings. Could this mean a broken connection inside the phone? Or a software fault? Didn't experience that in the beginning. After a few more tries, the problem seemed to have set itself aright and USB charging's working again. Btw, no problems whatsoever w/ the standard charger. |

My K610i music player doesn't recognize the track number of m4a tags. As a result, my m4a album tracks aren't played in the original sequence. I can't figure out how the music player sorts the tracks -- it's definitely not by filename, for one thing. Is there any workaround to this, short of sticking to the MP3 format? Have later firmwares fixed this? I have the oldest one i think - R1CB001. Thanks in advance! |

got this phone yesterday to replace my w810 with
so far i think it's one of the best se products so far.
realy enjoy the look/size of it, compared to my p990 in my other pocket
although i'm just curious; is it possible to modifie the k610 menu's / icons?

I'm getting this phone tomorrow.
I was just wondering, does this phone use the same themes like, for example K750? Because I haven't been able to find a lot of K610 themes.
So, is there any themes for other SE phones that will fit the K610?

yeh k750 w800 and i think any theme from phone with 176x220 will work |

it wasnt that bad, i noticed the sam with k750, w810 for example. of course it depends on the operator as well.
