so has anyone got some free settings for gprs then? I haven't been able to use my gprs or wap since aug 1st even though I've tried to install the original settings from o2! They don't list the k750i as one of their supported phones on the 'get settings' page of the 02 website.

Please help!

Dial up is slower. like a turtle wearing a blindfold slow.

anyway I tried dial up but it didnt work..
if anyone wants to give dial up a try.. get the settings from here, it might work for you:

I've still got free GPRS!!

I've got a proper Genie SIM card, and have always had 100% free WAP access.

However I've just gone contract so I could get a W800, and I don't really want to just transfer my number over and destroy a free wap sim!!

What do you guy's rekon? Is it worth hanging on to it for a bit? Or should I flog it on ebay?

Cheers

I've dnloaded about 5mb this month with no charge. And no, I've never used bolt ons.

I just use the settings from the O2 site.

Strange thing is when I called up O2 to get my nuber moved over (which I changed my mind about). I asked the guy "Do I have free GPRS on this PAYG sim?", he said "yes you do". I said, "but havn't O2 started charging for GPRS at the start of august?", he said "No, not that I know of". - Hmmmm

ok, i think i may know whats going on here!

i have by the way lost the FREE GPRS too.

i think they have obviously started charging now, however, O2 have ove 15million subscribers in UK alone and the computer or program which is carrying this task cant possibly do them all at once!

so, it will start lets say, from prefix 07701xxxxxx then, 07702xxxxxx till the end!

it could take some time! and thats possibly why some of us still enjoy the free GPRS and some of us dont!

so i think sooner or later everyone would be affected!

I received a text message from o2, yesterday which reads:

'Until now we have not billed you for o2 Active browsing. From 1 Sept you'll get 1MB of Active browsing per mth then be charged from 1p/page. Terms at o2.co.uk'

@Jock I also received a similar text yesterday from 'O2-UK'... doh! What's even worse is that I'll only receive 100kb per month! Does anyone know if this means o2 active or GPRS in general!!!

Thanks,

Norm
