Superluminova, cadcad: Come on people, these are official SonyEricsson pages and they say that the P800 launch will start in December. So, I don't think you can expect it any time before that. In fact, I have a feeling that I won't be able to get it in my country until next year.

Anyway, I'm starting to think that this P800 is just an overhyped piece of crap. I think I'll settle for an IPaq (or a Sony Clie ) which is much much more powerful. These all-in-one Symbian smartphones still have a long way to go. And a phone with that kind of specs is just a waste of money if it doesn't support 3G.

It doesn't say that the 'release' date is in Dec, it says the 'launch campaign' will start in Dec. In case you guys haven't noticed, the T68i is just NOW being advertised.

Here in the Phil, The T68i only started showing up in the ads and newspapers LONG after it was available.

The only reason we here at Esato know about the P800 is cuz we visit all the bloddy sites out there! We are the kinds of people that knew the T28 was supposed to have 200 hours standby time, but only came up with 50. We knew about the MMS software before the Service Centers did.

So don't associate the Ad Launch Campaign with the Release Date. And let's all just pray! HAHAHA

I'm not too sure if i'm bothered either way..

My current contract runs out on Dec 1st (a day before 2nd Dec, a potential release date)

if it comes out in Sept, then I'll get the phone early and have to settle with two accounts.... But I'll have the phone early..

i do not care about the delays as long as it eventually comes out. i get value for my money with the p800 with more features not unlike the whimpy 7650. some of the folks here can't wait and they just settle for the 7650. tsk tsk tsk... patience is a virtue.

If developers are going to be writing software for the P800, they are going to need a P800, so it's going to have to be released in some form before then (december 2nd).... stands to reason.

And faca, if you want to wait for 3G, go ahead, but you will still be waiting while everyone else here will have had a p800 for 12 months... i

I think that developers can already get P800 prototypes from SE. Anyway, they don't actually need the device to develop software for it, they have an emulator in the SDK...

Everyone else!?! Please, not everybody here needs the newest expensive toy to show off in front of their friends and be cool. P800 is a nice experiment, but I don't think a lot of people (normal people, not tech geeks) will actually buy it. Why would they? Believe it or not, most people buy mobile phones for only one reason - to make phone calls (OK, and maybe use SMS). Why do you need a P800? What do you plan to do with it?

And I won't wait for 3G. I don't care when it comes, I DON'T need it. And I don't need a P800. Phone companies like SE and Nokia are telling you that you DO need it so that they can sell you something new and make more money from suckers that believe them.

@Superluminova: Does cpwh know something that SE doesn't? Are they producing the P800 or SE is?

@jplacson: Launch campaigns accompany the launch of a product. That's why they are called 'launch' and not 'advertisement' campaign. So, the P800 launch campaign will start when the P800 is launched. And that will be in December...

And just because "some" of the folks here got the "whimpy" 7650, they can't have the P800, or???????

Whether you like it or not, the 7650 is the most feature packed phone for now. It's not perfect, far from, but it has way more uses than t68, and the P800 will have way more than 7650.
I'm looking for a "all in one" solution, and that is 7650 for now, when P800 comes I'll get myself one too.

And the childish "nokia makes me puke", "whimpy 7650", etc, etc... Grow up!!!!

Many of you claim you've had heaps of problems with nokia, motorola, samsung and other brands.
Well, look around this forum, lots of people has lots of problems with their SE products.
SE isn't better or worse than any other brand, so why hate the others and suck up to SE????

Most here are in adult age, so start behaving like one.

faca: i'd put alot of money on it that 10/15 years ago if someone told you you'd NEED a mobile phone everywhere you went you'd have laughed at them? its the same with the p800 and 7650 there the first of a new bread of integrated products, in 10/15 years time you'll wonder how you ever lived with out products like the p800?

and we'll wait and see when the p800 comes out (sept) and a lauch campain before xmas is a great idea but i don't mean thats when the product will come out, it means thats when the manufacture wants to sell the product more than normal! xmas = more sales = more cash!
