i sent an email to se about this problem , all i got back is
'' we dont know whats wrong with your phone , take it to a repaircenter :adress: ''
and some photos are smaller indeed but i still got pics i made after the update that are bigger then 500 kb in filesize
proud owner of a   800i , 200i , p910i + route 66 mobile 2006 and a hbh-600 , gave my k800i to my girl ( enjoying my new WII and DS lite  ) |

it seems to me that there arent many capable people working at that SE centre...
....really bad....dissapointing at the very least !!!

i sent them another mail saying that there are many people having this problem and sent a link to this thread , above that i said that they really have read this cause we know our phones better then them

Had a response to my query around video bit-rate and picture size/quality....
"Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Call Centre.
With regards to your enquiry, please accept our apologies for the problems you are experiencing. We are currently investigating the issues you have raised, a software update is imminent.
We will contact you when the software update is available."
I'm happy with that response. Let's see what happens..

I knew when i upgraded the firmware that my video was going to hell, but sorry to hear there was an apparent photo quality loss too. Let's start spamming SE with mails and calls please... |

Thats a good response from SE.
At least they're admitting there's a problem (and that they've screwed up!) rather than just saying "your phone must be broken, take it to an SE service centre" |

And the point of annoying them after they already admitted a problem and promised a software release would be what exactly? How you lead the charge and see what they say? Can you post a copy of your email showing that you took action before Andy-rew?

new firmware R1L only fix the gprs issue.

I calld SE today because i was having problems updating the firmware on my K750i, the guy said he doesnt recommend updating it unless my phone keeps crashing, because a new firmware update release is due very soon.
He took my details and said he would call me when it is released.
So therefore i didnt bother updating the firmware cos my fone dont crash. |

That's good news. At least it's not months between releases... at this rate we should have a perfect phone before long. |

it doesn't really matter... soon you will be able to use the included USB and update the firmware... |

R1A is good with video, R1J is bad with video but lots of other stuff is better. |
