@ Ruudfood

I think there is some slight confusion here. Credits does not refer to the credit you buy if you are on PAYG. It is nothing to do with your network. In order to use the DaVinci application, you have to buy what are called credits. You'll need 1 for each action, e.g. 1 to flash, 1 to unlock, etc. [addsig]

Ahhh right! I get it now. Please excuse my ignorance. I did say I was new to all this.

I've emailed DaVinci so hopefully they'll get back to me.

Thanks for your help and, most of all, patience!

The Da vinci guys are good but sometimes slow. So I will try to explain this to you now.

The credits that we refer to has nothing to do with your phone operator and only to do with Da Vinci.

If you want to flash your phone, it costs one credit. To unbrand it, also costs one credit, so to do two both flashing and unbranding costs to credits.

No worries dude. We are here for you. I have been there and I know it can be somewhat confusing at first.

since when does it cost 2 credits to flash/debrand?
i think you are wrong. Cause what u are doing is updating your GSM with the unbranded firmware and that only costs u 1 credit.
I got the magic stick!

I buy my credits from these guys, no problems you have the "name" and "password" emailed back to you straight away, within minutes.

DaVinci can be slow waiting for them to come back.

My mistake. I meant 1 for unbranding/flashing, and 1 for unlock. So it's 2 credits combined for the flashing and unlocking.

The DaVinci Team download page has general and unlocking drivers to download for the K750.

I've already downloaded and installed the general and unlocking drivers from the SE site for the SEUS.

could somebody confirm that the SEUS drivers are OK to flash with DaVinci Team or do I need to install the DaVinci Team drivers as well / instead?

thanks

What do you mean drivers? I know the drivers that they have on their site for the DSS-25 are required, but I am not sure about for the USB cable that the k750i uses.

if you are updating using the Sony Ericsson Update Service and the USB cable that comes with the K750 you have to download and install the special update service drivers for the K750 from the Sony Ericsson website. (different from the ones that come on the CD with the phone)

also: DaVinci Team seem to currently be having server problems.

I have to select "update settings" before it will let me check server status or how many logs I have, even then it won't currently let me download firmware - when I select "get files from web" and ask it to update the file list, it won't do it, "error connecting to FTP".

This also happened for me, it lasted for a few hours. I was told by my reseller that it was the server being updated.

Just keep trying it works in the end.

I've flashed with DaVinci R1J002 EU2 and changed the CDA to CDA102338/38 R6A, so I now have a "SIM-free handset". [addsig]

Hey Johhny Did you change your CDA as well. I was trying to get the answer from Brooks, but he can be somewhat cryptic at times.
