hey guys!! its not all about the logos.. its about the design and feature of the phone... yeah... SE is cool.... but i dont like the bluetooth feature.... its only designed to connect to other bluetooth handsets,(not to shared files suck us pics, tones, etc.) on my experience, coz i lately bought a SE t68i... (i dont know the new models of S.E now)..... so what does the "quickShare" of SE mean? havent tried the new SE handsets..

ok...ummm... to give a good heads up, SE's bluetooth doesn't go only to other bluetooth handsets. Hello! computer bluetooth! Printer bluetooth! Even Nokia can't do that, where have u've been? Its Nokia who only limited its Bluetooth until its smart enough to unlock it like SE. I've been sending tones and pix from phones, computers, pda's to my Z600! Quickshare means its bluetooth settings allow fast connection and transfer. Another heads up, TRY THE NEW SE PHONES! |

The logo is a very important aspect of a cellie, if the logo is cool the the phone is cool, which make the user looks cool too. I want to be cool so i prefer SE.
Nokia have no logo = uncool.
Please take the logo seriously in deciding what cellie you will buy.

After looking around, for me it's mostly Sony Ericsson, Nokia or Sharp. In Australia Sharp phones only exist in Vodafone unfortunately, but the GX25, GX30 and 902 aren't bad at all. Is there something I missed about the disadvantages of Sharp? After narrowing down to these brands it's a matter of which model I buy, not the brand or their logo.

I agree, the logo's got to be one of the coolest aspects of SE. I wish someday they could make the solid green ball bounce around in all SE logos on their phones, now that would be cool

Don't need to see it..I can feel the bugger bouncing around when I'm inhaling and exhaling!!
Actually, I CAN see it now on the tissue...
Anyway, seriously, that would be quite cool if they could make a subtle animated, integrated SE logo, not too OTT though, as it may put some people off, I would imagine.

why always SE vs Nokia. Nokia is way ahead of SE in terms of product range and technology. Like everyone like to say, compare apple to apple.
so u guys should be comparing SE to LG which is beating SE left and right. If not because of Siemens predicament, SE would have been relegated another rank down the ladder. |

@ mib 1800,
why should we compare the phone manufacturers you mentioned purely based on their world market share positions?
I'm not saying there's any harm in comparing these, but perhaps it's fair to say that SE gets compared a lot to Nokia here purely because Nokia is THE manufacturer to beat, both in what you have mentioned as well as other aspects that esato threads have mentioned countless times in the past. It's surely a solid reference point with which to compare SE's offerings.
As mentioned many times before on esato, each phone manufacturer has its strong points and weak points.
There are other threads comparing SE to other makes if you check the search.

@thumb-based, keyb, touchscreen smartphone: um u are talking about 7710 Vs P800,P900,P910?
@WIFI: You are correct.
@QVGA: What Noika had 240 × 320 b4 S700?
@Symbian, Linux adoption: Nokia don't use Linux in phones and P-series Symbian+UIQx is superior to Nokias ...
@3G+EDGE+GSM+Radio same phone: got 4band, 3G+GSM+Radio, GSM+EDGE+Radio. Nothing technologicaly to complain about here ...
@Design/develop/control the Series60/80/90 smartphone platform: Design? love it or hate it , Development? You work @ both and Nokia?, Control? huh?, SeriesXX: Can't match UIQx.x
@standardisation of phone O/S: I don't understand this one.
@HDD: Nothing to do with technologicaly advancement. It's small reboust phone Vs. big brick "can brake any second" phone.. love or hate it.. It's about company strategy. |

its the first phone to offer 3g here in philippines..... and there and various types of models to choose from... so that makes nokia the best name for mobile phone to me.... how about you guys?

what 3G phone are you referring to?
usually they're the same phones underneath a different shell. they get very little difference in features. that's what you call innovative design.
and it's a headache to choose from their bloated lineup.
those model numbers, too, make me dizzy. i can't keep track anymore of what's what! |
