colour should be of no consequence, RED, BROWN are interchangeable.

I Bahrain its US $45 more expensive but, I get Arabic and warranty. FYI, K750 for US $421.
Still keeping an eye out for the Nokia for you. |

gbrooks: no not according to TMS. there are 2 versions of the latest firmware. one only accepts Brown phones. |

Hi all. I successfully upgraded my phone on Friday. I now have a strange problem with games. When i install games, I choose YES to run straight away and the game or app works fine, but when I try run the games later it says 'INVALID APPLICATION'. Has anyone else having this problem? The games worked fine as V800.

Your corrcect: There are two folders regarding these phones at TMS at the moment..
I have a new Z800i which I bought in Hong Kong, which came with R1Y005 firmware and english/chinese language only..
I flashed my phone succefully with these two files:
V800i_R1AB013_ZONE_1_EU-EMEA.V8S
V800i_R1AB013_EUROPE4_EN_DA_SV_NO_FI.V8D
These didn`t work for me:
Z800i_R1AB013_ZONE_1_EU-EMEA.V8S
Z800i_R1AB013_EUROPE4_EN_DA_SV_NO_FI.V8D |

I wonder WHY ??!!??
It would be logical that Z800 files are for the REAL Z800s while the V800 files are for the real V800 (incl. converted ones!).
But if you have a real Z800 you should have been able to use those Z800 files.
Anybody any knowledge about that???

That does not change the fact they are interchangeable, maybe TMS doesnt support them but i am not gonna test  I am not in the habit of posting useless information. So believe what i say or dont believe, makes no difference.........
RED = Completed Retail phone
BROWN = developer/proto phone
(RED phones can easily be converted to Brown and Brown easily to RED)
BLUE = Empty board/uncompleted state

When i tried to update my v800 the gdfs failed and now when i switch it on it says there is a configuration problem wasn't sure of the cid b4 i started does any one know if i flash it again it will work and been un customised or am i as they say up the creek without a paddle????

Hi to you all,
I read through the entire threat, but I am still not sure - my question is:
I have a Vodafone SE V800i with Firmware R1S025 and my phone is from the production date 05W05 (on the label under the battery in the left or right under corner XXWYY) - so year 05.
I would like to flash via TMS to R1AB013 Decustomization to Z800i. Will it work? I read many posts saying that after flashing their phone was dead. I downloaded the actual version of TMS 1.74 because some mentioned it could be a client problem from TMS.
What are your experiences??

it worked fine for me. I got my V800i about a week ago, and the flash to R1AB013 worked just fine. Took over half an hour to flash, but the phone works perfectly afterwards with no "issues" |

It should work since TMS can now unlock and flash all CID36 phones inclucing V800. Try pugging it in and click the read CID/test cable button and if it works you should be all good. |
