Dont believe everything you read. Sure, it might have VHS size resolution, but the quality wont be as good as you'd think- id bet money on it.
Im sure the K750i could capture video just as good, but the logical step is not to allow it to do so (which SE have done so), making it easier to share videos with people. Thats the advantage of 3GP, but also its disadvantage.
