mamba, I own a t610 and a k700i, and frankly I've tested different angles and different pressures with both phones to try to understand, but really, with a t610 you can also damage your ears if you try to put it inside your ear, otherwise I don't see how you can hurt yourself with either of the phones! You describe the k700i like it's a razor, and you could almost shave yourself with it in the morning!
If I follow your reasoning, I could complain that my t610 has sharp corner edges at the bottom of the phone, thus it hurts my hand when I hold the phone for too long...

ok turt,
since you have a t610 and a k700, you'll be a sampler here.
do this for me and tell me the outcome.....
place the k700 tip around the speaker on the top of your ear and slide it down to the bottom of your ear...
do the same with the t610 and post your review!!!
i'm waiting....... |

Okay now I see what you mean!
But seriously, you should reconsider the way you hold your phone! I hold my phone differently and it's harmless for my ears, and it's easier to do actually, and less tiring!

LOL!!!
You´re not supposed to try getting the phone in the ear. Just hold it nicely against the ear and put up the volume a bit. Not try to push it through your head ;oŞ

this happens to be a problem cos i have to recieve calls in noisy areas and coupled with network conjestion problems in the country where i reside, call quality is very poor.
I constantly have to adjust my phone in order to hear well...
that's why k700 has been a pain.
I was using a p800 before this k700 and it was fine cos it had a louder speaker, streamlined and round at the top.
BUT THE WEIGHT & SIZE!!!!!! |

Which is actually true and i really appreciated the change in the k700(its rounded from below and hence much more ergonomic)
Now that i think about it, t610 was quite a dangerous phone...apart from above its joystick is too sharp and used to hurt my thumb.
As for the k700 being discussed i see what you mean but i hold my phone flat to the ear so never had unless i tried to deliberately tried to push it inside just to see what this is about...just holding the phone wrong my friend |

the k700 bottom should have been the top instead, its streamlined just the way the top should have been..... |

Maybe SE designed the K700i that way on purpose, to help dead skin cell shedding more efficient ?

I've never seen or heard of anyother phone that's so square at the top, only k700 |

And you thought those little white specks were dust inside the case on the LCD screen.
Think again.
