I sent a request to R66 and they told me that they couldn't tell me when it would be released and to keep my eyes on the "news" section of their website http://www.66.com
very helpful - not

just read the press release on 66.com

it says as long as you have Symbian OS7.0 and UIQ 2.0 or above then you have the specs. Which the P800,900 and 910 do

It also says it comes on 32/64/128 and 256mb Memory Stick Duo cards, so I assume there will be various versions coming out, priced accordingly. [addsig]

Hmm, I wrote to route 66 saying some retailers are selling (pre-release) P800 and P900 version of this and if so is it really available, they replied.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your interest in our products!

"ROUTE 66 Mobile 2006 - Symbian UIQ" will be available soon. "ROUTE 66
Mobile 2006 - Symbian UIQ" will be compatible with all Symbian UIQ mobile
phones featuring an external Memory Stick Duo slot, Bluetooth wireless
technology, Symbian OS v7.0 or higher and UIQ user interface v2.0 or higher.
This only includes Sony Ericsson P910 and P910i.

In order to find out up-to-date information about ROUTE 66 products that
will be released in the future and the supported platforms, please regularly
refer to the "News" section of our web site http://www.66.com.

Kind regards,

well, im not gonna wait, ive been playing with the demo of wayfinder and I really like it and from what people are saying wayfinder themselves are dedicated to creating the best and always updating.

Also, I dont like the idea of having to have the maps all on local i.e having to download the maps to local or having limited information. I doubt they can fit the type of detail im after onto a 128mb MSD with space for my files.

The wayfinder downloads fromt eh server so if I go somewhere I hadnt planned on not to worry, it will download an updated map. It also has much more detail byt the looks of things. So im gonna go with that i think. [addsig]

Wayfinder is good...but the cost is there. You have to subscribe and everytime you download ...you pay.

But Wayfinder is still the only available navigation solution and the latest version 4.51 is the most stable ever.
