Why is the Premini 2 so much bigger than the first one? And why doesn't it say Sony Ericsson on the phone????????????????? |

its bigger cause it has got more hardware in it. big screen, 1.3MP cam, msd slot,...
it doesn't say SE because its made for NTT DOCOMO and mostly the name of the company that builds the phone isn't visiable. something NTT DOCOMO decides.

When the manufacturers details don't appear on the phone, yet you know it cmes from that particular manufacturer, its know as OEM - Original Equipment Manufactured, just rebadged...
Much like Philips rebrands its products in USA under the Audiovox name...

great phone. i lovethe keypad numberkeys, not the yes and no keys, feels, benQ like. 16x digital zoom is crazy.... hope they supply a stand for ther phone, (so that it can have a steady place rather than our hands  ) the phone looks fab with a qvga screen, but somehow it doesnt feel like an SE anymore.

maby its because its made for japan. japanese SE phones are totaly diffirent from the ones we get

I can understand where Govi is coming from although I don't think there is such a thing as a typical SE handset now.
Most of them look different from each other, which I honestly think is a good thing because if a company as a range of handsets which all look the same then if a prospective customer does not like the style of one handset then he just as likely to dislike the rest.( I think Siemens is a good example of this ).

@Lenn24 I would be frightened of misplacing that little Premini because it is so small. I would definitely have to wear it on a chain around my neck or something

With 16x zoom you should be able to spy on any person in that room very easily with this phone.
