@soichiro - exactly I'll try to get more like these.
A thinking puzzle, quite easy-
There are a 100 coins on the table, of which 90 are placed with the heads side up and 10 with the tails side up. A blind man is asked to separate the piles (not necessarily with equal number in each pile) such that the number of tails in each pile is equal.
No balancing of the coins on their edge is allowed, blind man cant feel the coins to find out which side is which

Hmmm..
he separates the 100 coins into 2 piles..of 50 each..cos each coin has a head and tail..therefore both piles have equal number of heads and tails..

no you cant count both sides of the coins, only the side facing up
Gotta go now peeps, keep the answers (and puzzles) coming

make 2 piles, 1 pile with 90 coins and another with only 10 coins. flip the entire pile with 10 coins and you will surely have the same number of coins in each pile with the tail facing up.
resistance is futile. |

@blackspot - correct
Another extremely easy one -
A Goldsmith has a chain which is broken into 5 equal sections of 3 links each. What is the minimum number of links he has to open and solder to repair the chain

nope, And the person must also give the reason, otherwise it'll just be another number guessing game

5
4 to link the five small links into one long chain and the last 1 to make a circle.

@mince - The goldsmith has to make it into one long chain, not necessarily into a loop, i think i should have mentioned that before
@eastcoast - Just think about it

@k4m!k4ze it's 3!
Edit: one of the 5 chains of 3 link break into 3 open links and use these 3 open links to link together the 4 remaining chains
