for ipods you can get iskins which are sorta silcone or somethis and they are really cool i have one.
motorola use to make aphone v2288 which you could purchase similar like covers for,you know what i mean?

definitely chrome, and ceramic would be awesome,
How about the kind of plastic that makes up an LED, you know the see thru thick solid glass-ish stuff,
That could be cool, and maybe even a giant LED, LOL
