@Delta Naaah, would I do that you?
Ok.. here is a really good quick snack. Its called Onion Bhaji in India and I love to have it during monsoon rains and read comics
Pink onions - say about 4 or 5 of em,
Gram flour - I think you call it chic pea flour over there
Green chillies - say 6 or 7 of em
curry powder - about 2 - 3 spoons
Jheera (I don't know what u call em in USA) - a tea spoon
baking soda - 1/4 tea spoon
chilli powder & salt to taste
Chop the onions in quarters after peeling and slice them finely length wise. Before that mix the gram flour with salt, curry powder, finely chopped green chillies, red chilli powder and bit of baking soda and then add water slowly while mixing to make it into a thick batter. Now add the chopped onions so that the batter covers the onions fully.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan and fry the batter covered onions in them till they become golden brown. Take em out and taste the crisp 'bhajis'
best served with Spiderman comics and masala tea during a rainy day |

I am from Bangalore, India,
Could someone help on the following with T65,
1. Is it possible save a Phone number from the call list to the phone book? ie. If someone calls the number appears - can we store this number or we have to type manually in the phone book!
2. When a entry in the address book is added the phone is entered in the following format +(International Code)(MobileNumber) ie +919845312345. Now when we call the contact through the address book, this is the number which is dialled. My question is since the number is stored in international format would it be a international call or a local call. How will the distinction between local and intl calls made?
3. I tried to recieve a logo through SMS in India (Airtel - Bangalore). But when the SMS is opened it has some junk characters and am unable to save it. Is it because T65 doesn't support logos or not possible to recieve logos via SMS or is it an Operator problem?
4. Same as point 3, unable to get a Ringtone through SMS. The SMS have the medoly (BEGIN etc..) but how to set that as a Ringtone?
Kindly help?

@Inom Sorry mate, I have never used a T65 and so I wouldn't know much about it. But to be honest, everyphone allows you to save the incoming calls. In Ericsson, you usually go about this way: First press 'add new contact' and when it comes to number press the directory button, and it will show you the unsaved numbers (incoming calls, missed calls etc) and from that you can choose the number you want to save.
I don't know if the Int'l dial code in the beginning would still give you local call. Why don't you always save it as 98440... which is the usual prefix used for mobiles in B'lore? |

Thanks Maltesh, I found out the unsaved numbers!!
But I don't know how to get the ericsson compatible logos and Ringtones through SMS. What I recieved(the ringtone thro' SMS) was something like this,
BEGIN:IMELODY
VERSION:1.0
FORMAT:CLASS1.0
MELODY:*3d3d3#d3e2g3e3......
END:IMELODY
But I was not able to save this. Then I tried to type the same Melody in T65 ringtone composer, but to find I can't type numbers there so don't know what to do??
One more thing, I have saved an SMS to the SIM, how to delete or view from the SIM??
Anyways thanks and hope u would continue with your help!! |

Innom> Depends where you got the melodies, ringtones, logos etc from. Ericsson doesn't support other model logos and tones, and other models don't support Ericsson either. So make sure the stuff you got is for Ericcson mobiles.
You can view the information saved on sim much the same way you do with other stuff - or atleast thats the way it is with T68. In T68, we get an icon next to the messages that are saved on the sim, showing that they have been saved.
by the way what do u do in B'lore? |

I'm not exactly sure how the international codes work in India, but here in California, I just dial every number with a +1 if in the USA, and it gets charged as a local call. When I was in Europe, I did the same thing, and it was still charged as a local call (Unless I called to a country next door, hehe).
So, I'm guessing it works the same way in India |

Thanks Maltesh and Deltayoda for the replies.
Yes even in T65, I get a icon besides the messages which are saved to the SIM. But my question was How to DELETE those from the SIM?
Some more queries,
Do you guys know any site which gives indepth TECHNICAL explanation about,
1. WAP, how to configure,
2. Bluetooth, how is it different from WAP
3. Various means of Communication between mobile phone and PC
ie(Cable, Infrared ...)
4. Is it possible to make T65 Infrared enabled??? Or if the PC has infrared then it is enough to communicate with T65.
5. Can T65 be bluetooth enabled??
Thanks,
BTW, i am an engineer at B'lore. |
