Crappy design. Not proportional. Don't like it.
The nav keys are just S*it. Too damn small, if not, the phone is too damn big!

I agree for the crappy desing. Looks too much of an SE phone. Boxy is not sexy. Oh well, box is a shape too... |

i think the P*** series would mostly like compete with Nokia 7710, 9300, 9500. This segment is a niche market and it wont sell a lot.
a uiq3 based smartphone, imo will not be too appealing to non-SE fans as it does not hv 3rd party software support compared to Series60. It can do well if it is marketed as a normal phone at a reasonable price.
but i dont see uiq3 would threatened Series60. Series60 is rapidly gaining momentum. By end of year, there are some 18 to 20 million Series60 units sold. I think there'll be a few more Series60 phones being released very soon.

@ mib1800
I don't think I said the p series will compete with series 60 but in a way it does as the 9 series and the 7710 is not yet out, the new uiq 3 platform will be very similar to series 60 and remember bot run the same os Symbian OS 8 and it will be easy to port applications to and from, if we are lucky it might be possible to install some of the apps directly without any conversions I don't see why not. A builtin in converter or emulator of sorts is also not out of the question, I also think that the pace at which symbian is growing developers will be selling software which install onto any symbian device from one install file very similar to what ATi and Nvidia are doing with their graphics drivers, one file for many devices.

@yusufl
hopefully u r right about the software compatibility.
i'm not too optimistic tho. Even some series60 software r not compatible across different series60 phones.
as i hv mentioned in other threads, imo, SE would be better off it just license Series60 like the other manufacturers. |

@petawar:
the radio is definitely stereo. The spec only mentioned MP3 player but didnt state whether it is stereo or mono. it comes with a stereo headset tho. |

Wow, what a pleasant surprise. I think it looks very professional for a 3xxx phone, especially in the interactive demo

You know, I thought I'd get better value for my money in my next phone by just getting a K700 for 370 euro or a T630 for 220 euro but I'm just simply going to have to get this phone. It's very small, it doesn't make people laugh , and it's got the features I need. Yet it costs less than the K700. And it gives you the goods: S60 (with themes), speakerphone, FM radio, MP3 player, memory card, mpix cam, finally good looks, good screen, BLUETOOTH, USB, hell, it even has Visual Radio. The list just goes on.
Well done Nokia. I'm getting the black one.
edit: even 48-tone polyphonics

This phone looks quality, definitely the best Nokia for a while and the first one I'd consider buying since the days of the 8850. |

And I suppose you've actually held one to know this?
The "quality" in my original post is a British expression equivalent to "cool" or "wicked". I have no clue as to the build quality of the phone.
