@davo_169

That's one of the best suggestions I've heard yet!

What about instead of the circling circles they could have a Analouge clock face....Resdesign the dodgy flap at the bottom?..........Have any of you kept your nails longer for the sake of being able to open the darn thing? Digital radio would be fantastic too....

I would like to see call screening of withheld numbers......like an answerpone.

I would like to see stronger bluetooth, that can penetrate interior walls. (Z1010s have 100 metre BlueTooth).

In my apartment I have to stand within 5 metres of the window in order to receive a clear signal but if my bluetooth was stronger I could roam anywhere in my apartment and not go crackly.

I also think all handsets should be able to be stood upright, it is just handy. Candybar handsets should also have sloping keypads and be more ergonomically designed.

Here's my suggestions ( NO, i'm serious here unlike my other posts ) -

2 megapix camera at least
Longer battery life
No bugs
Optical zoom
Support for SD cards (cause their cheaper and more mem capacity, the latest being 2 GB !!!)
Symbian OS (or at least compatibilty with symbian apps)
Better night mode shots
Real Flash
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence of your attempt !!

@kllr_dude

Support for SD is probably the most unlikely thing on your list.

EDIT: Apparently not as I've just read that apparently SE are to support SD cards!

I want from a SE phone
- no slowdowns (in menus, writing)
- no double-size image (why anyway that thumbs take so much space [k700, t610, t300, etc] ?? my phone makes thumbs with 1-4KB... )
- better browser (like openwave)
- compact symbian phone like series60 (phone without thouchscreen) or windows enabled phones
- better camera qualiy & resolution

Take note SE,love the k700 minus the odd bug here and there. So here are some sugestions for an update of the k700

DAB Digital Radio (Definate must have feature)
1.3 Megapixel cam
Full screen video and pics with zoom function like on the nokia 7600
A nice neon blue/turquoise keypad like the motorola razr (the purple/pink keypad is a bit lame,love the circle pattern tho)
All this bundled in a nice clam shell design with the k700 original features.

Ericsson design in SE phones:

Yesterday, I meant something like this
[img]http://www.esato.com/board/img.php?id=14556[/img
Sorry for the poor quality.
Ofcourse it must be corrected to look connected to the present design line.
Same is with T39, R520, R310..

(reference phone: k500)

customizable sms tones;
models with NO camera at all again (i'm a digital camera enthusiast; i see no reason to be obliged to buy a worthless crappy camera when i already have a perfectly good digital camera);
shortcuts in deeper menus (on k500 i can select "write new message" shortcut but cannot go deeper and select "new text message"; i almost never send picture messages);
multiple numbers per number type and emails per contact (i do not currently require them but can easily foresee that i will; there is no excuse to be unable to add another home phone when you haven't used the "fax" and "other" slots, for example; limiting the total count of numbers per contact to five is fine with me);
ability to change the designation of an existing number without having to add it again and deleting the old one (changing "home" number to "mobile" for example);
some kind of display when dialing a shortcut number (displaying the name of the shortcut contact under the number box, for example);
list-style main menu instead of icons (probably selectable one way or the other, i guess i would be a minority with this request);
more customizability in themes (main menu icons, battery & network indicators, fonts - every visual aspect of the UI; probably non-customizable sounds too (timer alarm, key click, etc) though these would be better customizable through the settings menu);
downloadable t9 dictionaries instead of included in the firmware;
recurring alerts - this could be expanded to not only birthdays, but also monthly or weekly alerts;

that's what i could think of for now.

When texting,why can't I be able to enter numbers without holding the button down.
The only options the phone gives is: Aa
a
A
But why not : Aa
a
A
123

I can with a T600 and my Siemens C55 but not with a T610 or a K700,but I don't know if it is like that for all current Sonyericsson phones
It seems a bit daft you cannot enter numbers from a number keypad.
