I'm not so sure.. You cant really compare colours like gold and grey! They are oposities in colour.
I feel that some days i want the gold colour and some the grey. The golden colour is best during the day when the sun is out - But you pay a premium of being noticed by thieves when using in public. Where i live, phone theft is rare so a gold once would face no higher risk of theft.
But on average, i prefer the grey colour on days and the gold when when i feel crazy!!!
