Try going to SESS at glorietta 3 and upgrade there... i myself just don't trust Semicon (i don't know why). |

ako din i don't trust semicon. about the upgrade... when i had my phone upgraded they also had to check if pwede.. i don't really know what they checked |

hey guys, i just bought my k700i but i am not a techy person so i don't know how to manipulate everything on my phone. i feel it is really a good phone, i just need to learn to exploit all its features.
questions:
1. how do i know what firmware is installed on it?
2. how do i setup my wap?
appreaciate anybody who can help me. thanks in advance |

ei guys i just drop by sess at sm northedsa and they told me they don't do firmware upgrade and they refer mo to semicon but i don't trust semicon...
may alam pa ba kayong place where i can upgrade my phone??? |

From the standby screen, press either one of the volume control buttons on the left side of your K700i. You will be brought to the Phone Status window. From there, input the following keypress combination:
Joystick Left, Asterisk (*)
Joystick Right, Joystick Right, Asterisk
Joystick Right, Asterisk
You will be brought to Service Menu with three options:
Service Info
Service Tests
Text Labels
You may explore these features as you please, but to answer your question directly, you can view your phone's firmware version by choosing "Service Info," then "Software Info" from the next menu. The first value that is displayed will be your firmware version (i.e., R2A041).

To download SMART MMS phone settings, key in SET MMS EK700I and send to 211.
To download SMART GPRS phone settings, key in SET GPRS EK700I and send to 211.
Activating SMART MMS and GPRS:
To activate SMART GPRS, key in GPRS ON and send to 333.
To activate SMART MMS, key in MMS ON and send to 333.

Its not open yet. Its the boarded up portion near Gold's gym and TGI Fridays. They do have a booth at the ground floor where they sell phones and accessories. They also offer upgrades but you have to leave your phone with them for a few days as they bring it somewhere else( SESS in Libis).
