good idea,
because greyscale phones use a lot less power than the colour screens.
maybe if we can change it to greyscale to save power, it's super.

funny nobody mentioned the fabulous N3310. afterall, it did receive almost "cult-like" status back then. and my 60 year old uncle still swears by it!
ok AFAIK, a greyscale phone is a non-colour phone, that's it.

@plasma i love the backlight of my r520. Wish to have a thm like that, same fw design as on r520, incl the new features.

Greyscale is not defined as such.
The T39 uses four levels (black, white and two levels of grey in between). Of course one could have a phone that uses far more levels of grey, but I can't name such a phone. Several models of the Palm PDA has it though.

My favourite was the Nokia 7110 (at least I think that's what the model was). Mainly because it made me feel like I was in the Matrix, and also the Navi Roller thing was so cool for navigating menus and made sending texts so quick.

speaking of backlight, i missed having the turquoise backlight like those back in the T20, T28, T29 and the marvelous T39 era.

Dont think u can compare a z7 with a t39. Just think of the features.
