you know that sort of flaming/trolling would get you banned on alot of boards  .
Anyway, yeah the beep is incorporated in many phones just to conform with laws in places where the law stipulates that you need to inform the other party member about you recording the conversation. It is probably not worth the extra cost of ascertaining which countries have this law and which don't, so they go into more or less most phones.
Older phones didnt have this as 1) the manufacturer didnt think about it 2) the people did not make this concern earlier.
It's now present because 1) people made their concern heard 2) gov made their concern heard.
Lest we get another type of cellphone banning like that of Camera phones in certain places, which would obviously affect sales, something which obviously won't go well with manufacturers |
