Ive done one before, just get ure name on the list early (i was 2nd in line) and youll get it. Thats how i got a Nokia 6600 and an IPOD both of which i sold. Another way is to pay the 20 pounds multiple time (like 5 or 6 ive seen) under different which should help moving you up the line because of the referal and because it fills up the sales til next product shipped out etc but i didnt try that. Its a good strategy tho.

Anyway just to clarify just get your name on the lists very early 1-3rd in line and youll get your product just as i did.

Looks like another illegal pyramid scheme to me.

@residentevil - you're probably right! It's probably one quite dodgy legal ground.

That's one thing I've found as well, that you really need to be in the top two or you don't stand a chance. And I bet the owners of these site know this, and accidentally on purpose don't update the new lists for a day or two so that people rush to sign on thinking they'll be at the top!

I could self-refer but going on 5-6 other lists, but I don't want to throw any more money at this little venture, or give this guy (girl?) any more money to go on holidays!

@bman - And that's if I'm lucky!!

Sorry, haven't given a little update yet - One person has indeed had his K700 shipped (supposedly, anyway!), but I very much doubt that another 175 odd people are going join before this website 'dissapears' or they discontinue the K700, whichever comes first.

I have in fact now bought a K700 off Ebay (using funds from selling all the phones I've either fixed, or was unable to fix, and as an incentive to stop buying more phones off Ebay!!), which will arrive on Tuesday with any luck.

Wasn't expecting to win that auction (but happy I have), so will have to do more selling pdq!!

OP, did you invest £20 in one of those pyramid schemes or the newer straight line systems (usually found on ebay)?

The pyramid schemes are illegal and the newer versions are not.

The difference between the two...in the latter one you are buying an item from the company and not a place on their lists or phone.

The chances of getting a phone are slim unless

1) you are closer to the top
2) u make a lot of referrels
3) depends on which website u signed up

most of them have no intentions whatsoever to distribute the free gifts and I would stay clear of them. To my knowledge there are only 2 companies that are approved by the OFT and have been trading for years.

I would generally stay clear fo the rest. Some do rip you off.

I think it's a stright line system - I got a signal booster (which are 10 a penny!) and an CD with some Ebooks on (which I still haven't looked at!). The phone is a 'free gift'.

Been as I'm still 11th in the list, I gave up on any hope of seeing the phone straight off - but I did this partly though curiosity at these schemes, and partly because I'd like on of those phones!

I did ask for my money back and cancelling my 'order' a day or two after paying the site organiser, but heard nothing from him, and still got put on the list and recieved the booster and Ebooks. He either didn't get my email or chose not to reply to it. And I'm certainly not putting any more money into it!

It's reaffirmed what I really thought about these schemes - they're on dodgy legal ground, makes the organiser a shedload of money, and very few people who sign on to those things see their 'free gift'.

@Sam sooo true. i also registered at another site for an s700. it had about 150 people and required 30 people to sign up before u got your fone! thats 150 X 30 = 4500 people!!! so i decided not to send the money to them in the end. by the time i got the fone, it would probably be worth less than the 20 pounds i payed 4 it in the start!! unless you get on the list 1st or 2nd or 3rd or 4th or 5th you have no chance whatsoever! but the 1st person is soooo lucky. he signed up and 3 days later he got the fone! So i guess you have to keep sittin at your computer screen 24/7 clicking the refresh button over and over and over again untill a new fon is added and then sign up 4 it
