@joebmc

The idea behind pressing # and then the camera button was that it would bring up a menu, not turn on silent mode.

@ ettab : Are you saying that if you press * the backlight (flash of the camera) works? Maybe my mistake... It is not the backlight in the LCD screen it's the flash camera light. Is there a way or shortcut to that??!!!!

Sorry, his bad English fooled me into thinking his backlight was going off. To turn the backlight on * usually works, but to turn the flash on and off, like masseur said, press 5 when in camera mode.

ah! finally I got you. no the light is only available when used with the camera which is a shame because the MPF-10 flash attachment for the T610/T630 etc can be used as a torch, for sending SOS or for strobe effects

You can use the flash led as SOS signal, you just have to enter to the service menu. >*<<*<*, the select service tests, and finally flash led. And the light will start flashing...

Just had a play with my bro's nokia 6320 (or whatever...the nearest equiv to my K700i).
Am I glad I chose SE...

You can't send multimedia (vid/mp3/pic etc ) files via a "send via BT" option. I mean, what's the point in that? The whole point of BT is meant to be hassle free connections. At least we have that with SE.
The phone is just as slow as the K700i (NOT faster)
The screen is Pathetic c.f my K700i, not as bright nor as big.
The camera PQ is about the same, but no zoom....
The speaker is louder, but nowhere near as good quality as the K700 (which is loud enough).

Overall K700i beats Nokia 6230 hands down...

Now all I need is to get rid of that Orange customisation
