From what I heard, succesor of P900 will have:
- flip keyboard (as discussed);
- more important - a WiFi support for 11b standard
This way you'll have a real PDA touch&feel |

LAYLA IS NOT THE SUCCESSOR OF THE P900 it's just a minor upgrade. the successor will be ANOTHER phone.

I agree. SE have been successful in EMEA with the P900 but not in the USA. This "new" configuration is a relatively cheap upgrade that will allow them access to a very very large market.

Hello, folks. I don't know much about phones, except that I am a user who is looking to get rid of my pda and phone and move to a smartphone. I had been looking at the P900 and reading about its possible successor, but am a bit puzzled by the talk of Layla being a North American phone. Although I am aware that the P900 was released to the European market, I thought it was freely transferable to US plans. Can anybody shed some light on the difference between a North American phone and a European phone? Thanks. |

yeah i don't know what's all the fuss about it? i said a couple of posts earlier it's exactly the same as 6600 and 6620, a minor change (nokia: edge, se: keyboard) and they have added a 850mhz band for america (north)
i mean cmon would you be happier if they didn't do anything?!? like t630 t637?!? |

lol well guess SE will make an official announcment soon.
But the small change of the earpeice seems a bit... (whats the word?)
I mean, they're wasting money creating a new top faceplate. And if they did do the add on, they'd just make the flip.
Which could probably be bought and used with our current phones. (just need a firmware upgrade)

i would be much happier it they would have a flexi-foldable keyboard for the p***, like that one from logitech for palm's or the hp one which is awesome..... i mean an offical "stick it on keyboard" so that you can actually write while on a train, plane etc....
or at least a new chatboard....
yeah you can buy some wireless keyboards, but i just want to have them both connected with something not with air... |
