@jojo did we? An official news article and some psychology. I got your point, but we havd here a VERY well behaved and DIPLOMATIC conversation, where its hard NOT to touch the limit. Should anybody have the feeling to be hurted its his,her own mistake. The bible itself was, is and will be the basic of discussions, if we dont offer our opinions free, so we belong to the situation written in the article above.

It might be a good film, but thats it. Just a film. We hear about it it positive and negative comments in the media, clapping hands and angry fists, so the usually circus. I would like to feel the changes, not watch them with popcorn and a coke in my hands. Its nice of mel to show courige making this film, but we need a tornado, not just light warm wind to reach the target and the hoped result this film is heading for.

This actualy in my opinion a tornado it is a message of love and sacrifice the tornado is in the simplicity of this film if u beleive in god & u beleive that he sent his son to save us than u will see how much he suffered for u for each one of us then this good feeling will hit stronger than a 100000 toqnadoes

As a catholic i thought the movie whas realy brutal..

but still its thought provocating.....

but i think it is a reminder of the pain and suffering Jesus whent through for the human race....... maybe extreme but who will ever know what really happened.... but the picture made me think about my life.. and i think thats the point off it all. not to shock you but make you think about it all.....

I dont like to be constantly remembered on his suffering. Dont think its the most important apart of his mission. But its the most grandious segment his life... Sadly...

This film is very timely to watch (in DVD format for the latecomers) this coming week! It will be the start of the Lenten Season here and in every part of the world as well. Holy Week here in Manila is observed in a mysterious and defined way. In Pamapanga (province), they re-enact Jesus' crucifixion on the cross. Volunteers (some have done the same act in decades) will immitate Jesus' agony when he was nailed on the cross, true nails were used. Tourists from all over the world visits that place to witness the ceremony. Volunteers believe that by doing it, Jesus will forgive them for all the sins they have committed . . .

As i see, such things has nothing to do with faith and religion, more with superstition.

@bobafett - By the way that ritual is 'going-on' in my place for decades now, I guess the practice has become more of a belief rather than superstition . . .
