erm... loz yeah... that's the idea. Of course, you can do like you mum did and move out at 17... then find out how pocketmoney alone does not carry you very far

Yes I really moved out at 17 and it wasn't over pocket money although money issues started following me from then onwards. I moved out because I went to study in another town and as I was 17 the government would not pay me my 'students money' or my travelling until I would be 18. Ridiculous. Students got a monthly allowance and a free travel card (optional weekedays free and weekends discounted or weekends free and weekdays discounted) but you'd have to be at least 18 to get it. I was too early... had to travel 3 hours to get to the college and 3 hours back and had to pay for every penny myself..... I figured it would be much better to move to the town where my college was
With NO money at all though. My folks paid the rent to my apartment so that helped a great deal.... all I needed to do was collect enough money (1 way or another) to buy myself food and clothes and schoolbooks and such....
