Anyway I don't want to believe S700i or whatever their names are, will be as good as SO505iS or A5404i.

What makes you think that the S700i will not be as good as the SO505iS?
If we go on the basis that the phone is the same as the one in the leaked video then it looked pretty much identical?
Im tempted but a P1000 release announcement before its launch might change my mind again. Gotta love them touchscreens

Because that would kill all competition on GSM market or do I have to prepare myself for a huge step forward in development of GSM mobiles.
Is this year going to be the year when GSM market caught up Japanese market in terms of features?
Let us all hope so. |

yes, I think it has been well voiced by the big players that they see there revenue increases in the next 12 - 24 Months coming from increased features like the Jap phones have.
I think they smell the GPRS revenue, its a massive potential market.

that's good news because i don't like i
though 2 new phones? man what happened to seven new ones? are they going to release something new at cebit? |

dont' worry about cebit
Sony Ericsson usually take advantage of the calm before the storm
and preview some of their new products before. Or they will end up
in a media storm, one that Nokia is likely to sail out on top of...
Not because Nokias is any better but they are the dominant player
and normal media people are sheep and follow the big guy around...
Exciting weeks ahead! |

For SE to but an "i" behind a model no. can only mean this is a i-MODE or DOCOMO phone.
Or maybe this so called S700i and K700i is a GSM phone with i-MODE support. Well tht isn't really bad given i-MODE mobile internet service provide more multimedia content (Given we understand Japanese Characters ) |

not necessarily i-mode.....
a) European i-mode and ATT mMode uses DoCoMo technology, but the content is not in japanese
b) T68i has the "i" in it, yet it's not i-mode based
c) i'm leaning towards it being called T650 and S700i. S can stand for "swirl" (twist), but then T/Z didn't mean much either. There's reason for 2 phones to be both named 700.....that's just pure confusion. To learn more about confusion, look at Siemen's naming scheme that EVERYTHING is a 45, 55, or 65.
d) Being a T610 owner, I'm looking forward towards the so505-gsm, hopefully, with 262K, 1.3mp, flash, and MSDuo(Mp3) support

ya T68i have an "i" at te back but tht is to differentiate it from T68m
As those model number are new, the i should mean something else.
Well anyway I will be interesting to see GSM phone able to access i-mode or european m-mode service.
I believe this is possible since one of the interview on SE top management already mentioned they are trying to bring some Japan-only features into their GSM portfolio
hmmmm maybe k = "kick nok A**" series hahaha |

hey, guys.
Take your Z600, close it. From side (camera button side) view, slowly open it.
Don't you think it forms a "Z" pattern?
As for the "i", maybe it's just simply short for "improved"?
