BLUESPOON UPDATE

Went to Nextlink today.

Pricing has been set,..they can be seen at Expansys.com.
I wont write prices in here, as they are different for each country, also depending on taxes and so on. Hope you dont mind that.

These are the "introduction-prices",..meaning "as usual" hehe,..that later in the summer/autumn, the prices will most surely drop,..as it does with all products

Will be available in July,..also some in june.

It will come with a real craddle (charger),...working on it right now, hehe.
In the package will also be a very neat carrying-case. And of course cables...and yes, you will get a manual as well

And the Bluespoon itself has become a bit smaller in depth !!! Yeah, I know its small enough already, hehe.

----------------------------------

Also some of the future-products are being worked on, the ones that were on show in japan.

So things are going the way they should,..thats very nice.

JH67,

I have heard that the initial BlueSpoon will not have the jawbone mic but an external one. Do you have pictures showing the two different types? When will the jawbone mic version be available?

Thanks

Jan.

That price means that BS will be a bit more expensive than for example Ericssons. But as you say, it will fall with the volyme. But it must be the same thing for Ericssons headset as well, right?

My point is.....BS will never catch up with the same price as Ericssons?

yes that shouldnt be a problem

waizz >
hehe,..the cable are for charging, you know. Theres no cable on the Bluespoon itself The cable sits on the cradle.

duncanb99 > The jawbone model is not to be released yet.
The blue transparent one that was shown earlier on the Expansys-site was actually the prototype jawbone-model.
There's no release-information on this model at all.

The one on Expansys site now are the production-model with external microphone,..this You can also see on http://www.nextlink.to
And I have a picture of it on my site too : http://jh67.homepage.dk

invisio > Yes, for now it will be a bit more expensive. And prices will eventually fall,..as we all know. And with Bluetooth devices streaming out this summer (new headsets and so on),..then prices will most surely drop later this year.

Another thing is,..Bluespoon uses some very expensive/specialized materials, all special-built, not ordinary headset-parts.
The Bluespoon is at the same time the smallest you can get.
It has very good sound-quality.
Some of the best battery-times seen.
Weight a lot less than the rest.
Sits very comfortably (doesnt get in-the-way).
And of course people get a nice cradle and a "very goodlooking" case too

All these things put together,..are usually the things people really want from a bluetooth headset.
So yes, for now, people pay a bit more,..but will also get what they really want And I dont think the prices are that high, when I think of the prices of the other bluetooth headsets, comparing e.g. size and so on.

You cant compare nextlink to SonyEricsson,..both companies and headsets are very different. SonyEricsson is a huge company, with "big-time" production and so on

The prices all depends on how many do you sell, and how good bluetooth itself sells. The more bluetooth-devices that are sold, the cheaper bluetooth will be. And just about everyone believes that this is exactly what will happen through out this year

Hi jan.

It says; Standbytime: over 100 hours.

Do you have a more specific figure, of how many standbyhours Bs will give?

Invisio > Well,..these battery-times are always so inaccurate,..we know from the phones too,..so for now, we're just saying that it has 100+ hours for sure. Should be quite enough for all

Orang > Nope,..I dont have any pictures yet. Will try to get a "package-shot" for you ppl in here

Jan ... Bluespoon is really a good piece of gadget ... but then again what if the I bought the Bluespoon and it breaks down ? Do I send it all the way back to the HQ for repairs ? Or for every country Bluespoon is distributed there is a Service Point/Centre ?

It works just like everything else,..either repair or You'll get a new one, if repair is not possible

I dont have a distributorslist/repair-procedure,..at least not at the moment, so I cant say exactly how things will be done.

But You can rest asure, that if something does go wrong,..it will be handled the right way
