Is there any other way of locking the screen in flip removed mode other than via the battery icon?
Ideally one that can be done one handed like in flip closed with jogdial towards then press.

PS not including any 3rd party apps like Tracker

I am really quite not familiar how the auto key lock works.......i have it checked in the control panel, and after i close the flip and the screen dims....i press the key pad's numbers...and it is still active...
how is it possible for me to activate the key lock and deactivate it

The auto keylock can be set in flip on & flip off & it locks after I think 1 minute of not pressing anything. If u press a button before it locks the 1min will start over again.
To turn the lock on manually;
Flip removed- press battery icon then press lock screen.
Flip closed- press option button then press 1
OR
jogdial towards you then press it in.

Note that NO keylocks work when the phone is on charge.

Still no-one have any other ways to lock the screen in flip removed?

While surfing on opera or internal browser push Internet button on right side of phone for full screen. Push again for normal mode.

Sometimes when you move the navigator slider to go to a different position on the P900 video player the clip doesn’t go to it all you need to do is move it and give it a double tap

I find that the best way to put the extra duo stick is using double side tape and tape it to the inside of the flip. Once you close the flip is hardly noticable. However, you should have screen protector and do not let the flip close by itself (its kinda risky). I have been using this method with no problem.

to conserve battery power and to avoid programs crashing etc i have installed taskman and have programmed the internet button to open taskman so i can get to it quickly - then i use taskman to close all applications which closes all unneccary stuff - ( i also sometimes compact the memory )
i can do all this on the move and without the stylus -> open flip - hit the internet button - jog foreward - scroll to necessary option ( close all/compact memory) and jog in to select.
I find all this makes for a more stable environment - ( actually i'm confused why symbian doesnt give app timeouts or better memory management built in ??)

ps internet button still functions with regard to full screen mode

just be aware that that doesn't always work because some branded phones don't have "call list" as the default OK soft key function.

its interesting here to mention that the OK default soft key function is determined by what is the middle icon in the flip closed icons when you rotate the jog dial

to complete this I can also mention that you can change what is the middle icon by going to control panel, Appliation Shortcuts, click on flip closed tab and change them there

i've figured it out. the moving pics work only in flip closed, they should be of .gif extention and most important, dont change the size of the pic while setting it as wallpaper, if the pic is smaller than the screen shown and you try to enlarge it, then it wont move.
