Yeah, they have a selection of products in a warehouse over here that they can ship from, so will be quicker to UK and europe and a little cheaper as well (due to reduced delivery costs)
Also I think that link you gave was another suspect one, as I get a topcities page claiming:
"Welcome to TopCities. We offer free space and tools for you to build your own web site. "

copy the link and paste it in to your browser make sure there is no space at the end of the address. So do i order from a different site to obtain there UK housed stock? cheers.

I tried making an adapter like that last night, but my soldering iron:
a) is not hot enough
b) has a busted tip
And for UK orders you go through the same site, but on the bar with the list of all their sections, there is one that says "UK Orders"

I actually posted information about the SP8AA quite a while ago but got little response.
Check it out before you buy one of these handy little devices.
I also bought their standard 2.5mm -> 3.5mm stereo adapter for the times when I just wanna listen to music.

Nah, I had a 2.5mm adapter lying about from when I was going to attempt to make an adapter for my T68i's HPM-10 (before I learnt the connector is all weirdly wired up).
So my original headphones are intact still. |

Oops, sorry, you're right, I AM generalising! I forgot that some of us, when we are listening to music and get an incoming call prefer to fumble in their pocket for the phone, stick it up to the headphone, remember they've got a headphone on, rip the headphone off, remember they've got the headphone plugged in, pull it out, and then answer the call rather than simply leaving the headphones in place. Silly me.

The SP8AA arrived today - posted from the UK operation.
Tried with my quality portable headphones and wow, so much better than the SE set. Three dimensional sound...I can visualise the instruments...the base on reggae...ahhh..wonderful. Hmmm...now I thinks I will need to rip MP3s with at a higher quality...which means I will need to buy an additonal 128MB card...this experience could be expensive! |

No MSD, but the adapter arrived. Have spent the morning testing it, and my verdict is very positive!
Easy to use, decent sound! Well recommended.
My only slight gripe is that the microphone clip is perhaps a little flimsy, but it doesn't matter too much, just use the one off my P800 headphones! |

Since they were never designed to come apart, there's no colour coding and you just have to experiment with wire placement until you've got stereo and the left-right channels playing correctly. (Old hippies recommend the opening sound effects from the Dark Side of the Moon -- the helicopter flies overhead left to right... umm, what was I talkin' about, man? Oh, yeah...) You have to do some acrobatics to get this right, since you can't really put the headphones on or your connections will probably fail. Persist. It's worth it.
Carefully solder those suckers in place. They're hair-thin, it ain't easy. But when you're finished, you have something on your head that doesn't make your music sound like it's being played in a tuna tin, and which you don't have to take off to take or make a call. Nirvana.
This is also useful if, like me, you just can't wear earbuds and need an over-the-ear headphone.
Here endeth the lesson.

i agree, handy post, i reccomend sony earphones, i don't mind in-ear earphones. less likely to faltout whilst cycling n' runnin' for buses. plus. where the 2 wires join theres a handy plastic sleave to hide your dodgy wiring |

The only solution in this world pertaining to our 2.5mm woes and 3.5mm jack having no answere button is this:
Sign a petition to get SE to sell the headset that comes with the bluetooth HBM-30 separately. Design-wise: it is beautiful, jack-wise: 2.5mm, any answer button?: yes...
