I assume the screen on the p800 is the same size as the p810, so somebody us photoshop to put them side by side, and scale them so that the screens are the same dimensions so that we get a feel for the comparitive sizes! |

I think it may be detached from the other one (in his hand)
I think 2 identical keypads would be useless. (credits to skjalg for this original idea.... i was wondering the same earlier on)

PS: i remember there was a german forum which showed the P810 without the flip? |

@ Yoshi (btw, here is mario? )
The one flip that is laying on the table is the flip that he removed from the p810 with which he is making the video and pictures!
So there is enough proof that the flip is removable, and that this info is not correct:

| I wouldnt really put too much trust in that article, they also claim the P900 has a permanent keypad, but in the recent pictures, it clearly comes off!
I just hope they have managed to speed up the transfer rate on the memorystick, imagine filling a 500MB duo card with MP3`s at todays speed, should take about half a day. |

The phone is ok the look of it it a little weird i dont like it very much. And it not so much of an upgrade exept of the 65k screen all the others i think its only firm updates that the p800 can have if sony made them of course.

other than the 65k screen, it is said to have a 1.3 Megapixel camera. |

Anyone know what the technology is actually like in a P800 though, I mean would a firmware upgrade offer a communicorder. It would depend on what hardware the camera in the P800 is. - Just a thought!
Personally, whilst the new phone surely is causing goosebumps, I've said before I don't really want to rush out and buy it before I've seen a few months roadtest with other users.
BUT.....
It would be REALLY interesting to know if service centres WILL be offering a firmware to allow a similar functionality to the P810, and hopefully UIQ2.1!
Anyone got any news on this?

its possible but i doubt sony can make this happen I really hope that they dont abadon the ex phone for the sake of the new and the camera is still 640*480 and not a 1.3 and i guess the only one changed for sure in the phone is the color chip the screen is still the same old one.I croos my fingers and hope for some upgrade for p800 but im not so optimistic

Why not a 1.3?
Surely this would be a good thing, of course it would HAVE to come with higher onboard and portable memory to compensate for the higher spec.
Maybe it's 1.3Mp for still images, with a 640x480 for video.

@Arfi,
Sure, I have read the posts, but whether it's a P800 or a digital camera, there is a difference between still images AND moving images.
All I'm saying is that I haven't seen anything OFFICIAL. There are beta's, there are screenshots (and we all know how good they can be faked!!), it's either a P810, or it's a P900. A post earlier on suggested that it MUST be a P810, because that's what's on the CD!! No, maybe the CD was printed before the official release name of the phone.
The phone is NOT yet out, it is STILL at Sony Ericsson, there is STILL 2 months before the suspected release date. That's a LONG time for to change the spec, and place a higher camera in. The firmware is more than capable of compensating for this 'minor' change in the hardware.
Like I said, and we have to agree, the phone is NOT out, NOR is there ANY official word from
