I have to say... I was skeptical about OGG files being "so much better than MP3s" ... but hey... they say "don't knock it til you've tried it"...
Well, to be honest... ogg files rule!!!
Good grief, a 96kbps ogg file would pass for a 192kbps mp3!!! (ok, maybe not 192, but 160) |

Ogg 0.6 good but is there a possibility to add it to flip closed programs menu. The p800 audio sits there on the new firmware. Very convenient do not have to open the flip to start listening music. Ogg should do the same. |

hi,
ive been able to convert my .wav file to an .ogg file, but everytime i try to send it to either my phone memory folder or my memory stick it gives me an error saying this file cannot be copied to the selected destination.
Can someone pls tell me what im doing wrong?
Thanx |

You have to copy the ogg-files to "Memory Stick/document/unfiled" or "Phone Memory/document/unfiled".
That works for me. |

Ogg is fantastic. I can get some of my file sizes down from 4meg to 1.5meg. I was just wondering what rate most of you encode from mp3 to ogg? 128? 96? or lower? |

I encode them at 48kbps!! mono 16 bit 41000 khz.
If you don't mind mono(like me) this is perfect! I've got 2 hours 42mins on my 64MB msduo.
My ears can hardly hear the difference between this quality and mp3 128kbps Stereo(the difference between stereo and mono is ofcourse noticeable).
This may not be for true audiophiles. But I couldn't be happier! |

Yep!
I'll stick with it for a while, but may go back to V0.5.
Having said that, newer versions seemed to be out weekly?!?
