@jh67
sounds as the battery is the problem, the upgrade does drain the battery, so the best thing is to have a fully charged battery before having it upgraded.... I upgraded 5 P800 today, no problem with any of them... |

Cytech > The battery was fully charged (100%) on both phones.
I always make sure that this is done before going for an upgrade.

I got it upgraded, and restored a backup, now the audioplayer in flip closed mode is gone.
But if I change language version on it, the audioplayer appears again.
Now, how do I get it to show on my normal language, Swedish? |

I feel a lot of Envy of you guys, talking about the upgrades, blah, blah. But me, living here in this hole called Mexico, where SE apperars not to care I feel like a little boy watching how the big boys eat candies with both hands.

Cytech- need a definitive answer. Can you restore a back up after the current upgrade or do you need to reinstall everything. Since you did three phones today I thought you might know. |

before getting ur P800 upgraded...
edit p800.inf and add this line under [Excluded Restore files] section:
c:\System\data\cda_version.txt
save the file, perform a backup and have ur P800 upgraded...
what this does is skip the cda_version.txt file on the P800 during the restore process, this will prevent your CDA version from reverting to whatever version you had before the upgrade...

Although the CDA version is only a number anyway, it has no effect on the phone's functionality. |

Cool, mine's booked in at 10am tomorrow (Friday) so that will fix all the bugs I haven't even noticed yet
Can I backup my phone via the cradle and restore it after the update, or will I need to reinstall everything manually? |

@rumik,
P800.inf can be found in the folder where you installed the SE desktop software. In my case its in:
C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Mobile
