I vote 4 the 788.smallest phone during its time and from this model sprung the T-series flip phones up to the T39.

i really think it's way too early for that. with phones like the t610 edging ever closer to the same sort of functionality, and 3g phones like the Z1010 just around the corner, it remains to be seen whether the p800 is a trailblazer or a technological dead-end.
i can see it being remembered for the wrong reasons, myself.. |

The problem with the P800 was that it took too long to bring it to the market.
This was the original P800, prior to the merger.
It was huge! But it already had UIQ, GPRS, Bluetooth, tri-band, voice control, SD slot, speakerphone, joystick, voice memo button.
It did NOT have a communicam yet, and the screen was 320x240.
It was supposed to be released a year ago..but due to financial problems, development was halted... now we have it as the P800.
This one looks better... but it's HUGE!!! (Bigger than the iPaq) |

I agree that the T68 fone series should be in the hall of fame. If my memory serves me right, the T68 is the most popular fone of its era and has done wonders for SE!

Update:
The obvious winner is the T68/i. Although it is still in production, it is a real living legend. It reminds me of Michael Jordon. Though still basketballing and creating such an impact for the Wizards, he is undoubtedly a legend, and living!!!

i've only used 4 Ericsson handsets... 3 are flip phones, 2 of the 3 are active-flips...
i like Ericsson's flips in general... i still use a T18 and that has a very thin active-flip... had a T28, nice and small... haven't really used a T39, but it still looks good
my main phone now is an R520 and i give kudos to that handset, despite it being candy-bar style, but it performs very well and it's feature-packed like any other Ericsson handset...
overall, i like both, but i'd give votes to flip design Ericsson's...
Mobile handset(s): 1. PROTOTYPE TU2 Ericsson R520m CE. (Made: 00W43). 2. Rose White T39mc. (Flashed to T39m). 3. Icy Blue Sony Ericsson T200. (Water-damage revival!). |
