Sorry again, Three X pal, your post is but ONLY 1 vote in the poll.

And I have included that already in the "Dislike" tally.

I can get 100 people to say 100 good things about the T610 in a single post and it will still be ONE vote. Maybe you can register yourself as 5 different names in this forum and say bad things for all I care. I care only about the general esato community for which you are but ONLY ONE part of.

As for S55 being T68i's competitor... considering the T68i being a year older and yet being a competitor speaks a lot...

I like the design of the T610 alot. I think it look really stylish. I love the metal look. And the curved sides of the phones gives it a great look.

Actually I think the look is better than the T68. I know a lot of people will disagree, but I think The T68 looks old compared to the new T610.

And it is nice to see that SE understands that the normal button placement is preferable to the whacky and idiotic designs of Nokia and Siemens SX-1.

Good looking? Sorry? I think FU UGLY sums up the lot of them very well. The best looking phone I've ever had was the T68 (although th 7110 was close when it came out). These have absolutely no design merits whatsoever. They look cheap, plasticky and dated. And what the hell's that at the bottom of the 310? A space bar?

I'll have the P800 any day.

@ppcrockar
Agree.. good example of (idiotic) design getting priority over function and user friendliness..

I think the T610 looks really cool and stylish.
In fact things have become better for Ericsson after it joined hands with Sony.

Come on people, of course SE can't release new phones with a 2 year old design (I mean new models looking like T68 or T65)..

Imaging SE saying "These are our brand new models which we intentionally designed to look at least 2 years old.. We think that phones that appears to be 2 years old are easy to sell and we think we will earn a lot of cash by doing this way.."

Personally I think that T610 is most beautiful mobile I've ever seen and I also think it will kick the asses of 8910/8850 and be the new king of flashy/fashon/show-off phones.

Ya, but Nokia's best looking phones haven't changed since the 8110... 8810...8850... 8890... 8910...8910i

My point is, if you have a good design... build around it... BMW and Benz do this all the time... if you look at BMW's ENTIRE history... every BMW keeps it's core elements, as do Benz..Jaguar & Ferrari.

Sony didn't have any GREAT phones... so take a hint ... Sony MOBILE PHONE designs aren't that well liked. Ericsson's were well liked.. specially the T68m ... I feel they went in the right direction with the T68i.

I don't think they should look EXACTLY the same as previous models... but come on... don't give us 1st draft designs!!! All current designs have POTENTIAL... but I feel they didn't refine them enough. They look like new phones... they don't look like GREAT phones. If we didn't know the specs of line-up... I doubt we'd buy them.

should sell on two levels... one on features. And two, on looks. Those who are feature crazy will buy because of the features... and those who don't give a -beep- on features should WANT to buy just for the looks. Neither aspect (design/functionality) should be sacrificed for the other... not in this day and age.

I think the design of T610 in photo is quite good.
I never, and have not a chance, to see a real product,
but I don't think it will be ugly.

I just think that the materials they use are great,
the upper part, black plastic plus white Sony Ericsson words,
is just great, giving an elegant and high-grade feeling.

However, in the photo, the lower part seems a little too long,
and quite boxy, making the phone a little bit strange.
Yet, a real product should give another feeling, so let's wait to feel a real thing instead of justify a dead photo.

By the way, I afraid the upper part (the plastic part) will be scratched very very easily.

The damn thing is ugly!!!!!! All the new phones are.... just cause you put a nice screen on it doesn't mean you strip it of it's style. It's got no "POW!!!" it's a freakin Volvo. (no offense just boring and boxy looking) I just thought they'd give it some curves to compliment it's specs.

Dragoneye...I think you forget that even Volvo realized this in their designs! Even Volvo (the leader in box designs) is moving away from a complete square! hehehehe!

I think the T610 is a very classy phone. ihave been holding out for while waiting for new SE phones and if the 6100 had been cheaper last week I would have that now. I am def gonna wait for this beauty to come out. It has Bluetooth which I use and a cool camera.

True, I've seen a few nice Volvo's recently. But the phone is still bland.. It may have a classy look but still doesn't go well with a suit

The T610 reminds 60's style, like a pocket radio or pocket shave or a James Bond gadget used by Sean Connery...

Great class design!
