Could i just point out that there is no need to go spending a fortune on this phone - 500 quid is definitely over the top.
I got mine nearly a week ago from CPW, cost 300 quid, upgrade on orange, my tariff is the cheapest one they do - High Speed Data Plan, a tenner a month!!! This is because i'm getting 60 free minutes credited a month due to equity, but anyway you won't want to be talking on this phone - it's too good for that!! Use it for internet access!!!

Hi Onionz,
I believe that its ok to spend £500 on the phone rather than £300 with a contract. This is because I already have a phone through my employment so I am just going to put the Sim card into the P800 and use it as my work phone.
You have to take in to account how much a contract costs with the phone. At the end of the day you're spending much more than £500.

no, it's not. As cited above, if you buy a phone on orange contract for £300 where you are paying £10 a month (nice deal by the way) then over 1 year the total cost to you is £420. This is clearly less than £500.

Why.....can't......people..........understand...........that.........it.....IS......cheaper........on..........Orange............contract!?
Let's do the sums again:
SIM free = £500 (UNINSURED!)
Orange contract, unlocked to all networks = either £340 or £440, depending on how cheeky you want to be (INCLUDING FULL COMPRENSIVE INSURANCE FOR YEAR, AGAINST THEFT, ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE, LOSS...!!!)
That is: phone at either £200 or £300 on high/low tariff, then changing tariff immediately to HSD = 12months x £10 = £120 plus unlock fee of £20 from Orange (or £30 elsewhere).
