That new sony sensor type, where first layer is split into two leaving first just for pixels. Some ppl be,ieve iphone 15 series is gonna have it.
Something that should be used for 1m5 but I doubt it's here.
Xperia should have this + starvis + polar sense. |

Not even chinese phones that sell much more have all bands used on Earth. This is not cheap.
Sony may have save some money such that 1m4, which was released first, has more bands than 5m4.
comparing to this year's pixel and moto, which are cheaper than xperia, support more bands than xperia. this means sony is selling less band for higher price. not to mention sony's official tech support outside of asia are also pretty useless from the experience. I feel buying sony phones these days are just getting ripoff |

Frankly, its boring. Not much changed from the old one  I have decided not to publish it to give Sony a chance to fix, because posting it now will cause mass exodus of fans because of the disappointment 
About network bands, it is common practice in the mobile industry to cut down the number of bands to save money, either from hardware design, testing or certification. Also the pressure from carriers to keep carrier-locked phone from working on competitors (however this is forbidden now, atleast in JP afaik). You can make a truly "global" phone with all the bands and CA combos to run every network in the world, but that would be fairly expensive. Apple and some others can do that because they dont afraid to cut some money off the margins.
The current champion of "global" phone is iPhone US models (global ver have some downgrade in CA combos) and OnePlus 10T, they support everything out there.
I still keep mine modded (unlocked bands,etc...) Xperia XZs and XZP global ver dual sim for occasional travelling, especially places like JP. Also I am the "author" of the band unlocking method circulated the internet in the past |

I do not remember if it is iphone 12 or 13 series that would not work properly here (bands) to force ppl buy local iphones that cost 100%. Many buy abroad (usually in Miami) because price difference.
Should I believe the possibility 557 is not going away? |

What I could understand Lytia is just how sony is gonna call exmors made for phones. Not that new split layer tech. |

can you author band unlocking on the latest flagships?
older phones are going to have less bands to work with when everyone is switching off or already turned off 3G |

No, Qualcomm locked it down tight. You cant change anything

I think it will take longer than that my friend  No way in hell such technology debuts inside Xperia phone. That BOE display that supposedly/if ever went into production will lend as some prototype or on some Chinese ODM low scale model. Zackbuks obviously has not had a proper info regarding Xperias for a while now so he is throwing everything he hears online and hope it sticks. |

Spek said BOE was making a 7" screen with 4K. Semicon was working on micro matrix for years. This is not cam behind screen. If those with FHD have crap cam, obviously behind 4K would be worse. Sony knows be ause sony is who had this idea more than 10 years ago.
I hope this one never becomes retail xperia, too ugly.

Sony really needs to upgrade its software policy i have an xz3 running on android 10 and my friend has an s10+ on android 12 that s10 was released on android 9 and got 3 major upgrades whereas the xz3 was released on android 9 and just got 1 major upgrade and the previous xz1 was pretty much the same story |

Samsung mobile makes about 30x more money than sony makes with xperia. That is why.
Oppo, vivo and xiaomi about 13x more.
XZ3 was supposed to ship with 8 and finish at 10, just like xz2. Sony just updated it before shipping instead of sending update to ppl.
