A golden Nexus 6P was announced as CES 2016. This one doesn't look bad at all. Kinda like it.

After getting an iPhone 6s Plus and being disappointed seeing how Apple have cranked up NR and sharpening to max (GSMArena's review mentioned heavy handed post-processing and sharpening halos - I should've taken their word on this) I traded it for a Nexus 6P. This must be my first Android phone where I'm really happy with the stock camera.

I hope you will enjoy your new phone abubasim. Would be nice to read what your experience is with it. ... I.e. battery life , built, reception etc? Also what colour did you get?
In terms of camera on android I read that Samsung s6 camera is great too |

@aussieland1,
So far I'd say this is the best Android phone I've owned so far. Battery life is okay but not quite what I got on the Lenovo K920 I owned before. But SoT with Google Maps while driving from Muscat to Dubai requires charger connected not to run out of battery before the drive is over.
I got the grey with 64GB now covered in a Spigen slim cover. The belt case I got before for the iPhone 6s Plus fits the phone perfectly with the cover on.

How is the mobile network and Wi-Fi reception on it? Also how do you find it performance wise ? And how is the screen outdoors (when it us sunny) is it easy to read? How long does it take to fully charge it?
Sorry for bombarding you with all theset questions but I am, curious /interested in this phone |

Reception is good, about the same as I've had on previous phones. Performance is excellent but I'm not a heavy user. Mostly listening to audio books and podcasts and occasionally listening to music and watching movies. Browsing the web and reading news on Feedly. The only games I'm fond of are Cardshark and Sudoku Premuim so I'm not exactly putting a strain on the GPU...
Regarding charging speed; don't know. I usually plug it on to my laptop over night for trickle charging.
Screen outdoors in sunlight (which we have here in Muscat for about 350+ days per year) is okay. It takes a while for the brightness to go up when it detects strong ambient light. Here's a comparison (overexposed to get screen visible against the very bright background - it didn't help using my laptop as a table) between a Nokia E61i and the Nexus 6P:

Thanks abubasim
If this is in direct sun light then it's really good- improvement over my nexus 6
Anyway glad you are enjoying it - this the only phone I am really tempted by at the moment |

My photo above makes the screen look brighter than it is most times. I shot the photo from straight above with the sun coming at around 45 degrees and this makes the brightness seem okay. But during daytime outdoors the sun here in Muscat hits from close to 90 degrees and it's not easy to see the display content.
So if you're thinking of replacing your current Nexus then I recommend you consider more than display performance outdoors in strong daylight.

Luckily (in a way) I live in London so strong sun is not a huge possibility here any way I haven't decided to upgrade yet but when I will nexus 6p will be very close to being my choice (u bless something better comes out before then ) |
