@rikken, it may be an opinion but in the end it's user experience that counts.
Most of all I'm amazed by all the negative talk about S3. It has all the latest tech. What's the problem
Very boring/uninspired design. Sub-par materials. Underwhelming camera.
At least for me.

I see no problem and I see the S III as a worthy successor to the S II and that it will reach hugh sales figures

I do like where they are going with the design, you can definitely tell it's part of the Galaxy range, but I guess they didn't wan't to stray too far from the GSII, which has been a runaway success but IMO a very uninspiring design.

Don't get me wrong I still like this handset and it's specs and would not sniff at it. But I just would prefer a polycarbonate body as it's tough durable. The design ruined the climax to the announcement.

I don't think the design is that bad - better than SGSII. Just wish for a camera button
Glad they went with a larger battery than One X, from the reports I've heard the One X battery isn't great at the moment. |

If I'm not mistaken the GS3 has a poly carbonate body with a glossy finish called hyper glazing, all I know is that the materials used are better than in the GS2.

Yep that's me. But what I am saying is these expensive phones should be built to last. I wanna feel like I'm holding a premium device not just what's inside. I still think the GS3 is fantastic device I just think it should be made from better stronger materials. Nothing wrong in wanting such a thing is there?? Apart from the new chip set and Quad core it's to me another Galaxy Note. I know Mega pixels don't matter but I thought they would have made a 12 Meg camera

If they use the same sensor as the SGS2 and the same software the cam samples should be great, regardless of mpx.
SGS2 was widely renowned for having the best camera, and it will be interesting to see samples from the new one. |

Do you guys know anything about this new camera? This might be a great one but I don't know why they didn't emphasize the capabilities of it in the presentation.

But they did, they banged on boring for ages about its burst mode and how it can choose the best picture from many which the phone thinks is the best - personally id rather be the judge of that rather than a piece of software.
For me i dont get excited about any 2012 cameras since Nokia's Pureview 808 was announced at MWC. I dont think neither HTC or Samsung can say much about their cameras unless they too develop something to rival Nokia's monster.
@ rikken - this is typical when a popular flagship is announced. Many people love it, many people are disappointed by it. I can understand people not liking the design, its almost a step backwards from the ultra square and therefore more professional looking S2. However, if you check out the Galaxy Nexus shape side by side with the S3, you'll notice they're simply part of the same family of smartphones. The S2 was the odd one out. I also prefer the shape of the S2, like the iPhone 4S design its more professional looking. The HTC One X is also curved so i dont think Samsung have screwed up with the design.
If people read what Samsung were aiming for with the S3 design it makes sense also. The fact the blue version is called Pebble blue, which also matches the pebble mp3 player accessory.
Like i said it makes sense to me anyway.
