Has anyone been able to successfully update their firmware using these UK files on their Rogers X10a?
I'm kind of worried with the various versions of the X10i & X10a that the X10a users will be left out due to lower percentage of users (I'm assuming). Any updates seem to always go to X10i first regardless if it's from Sony Ericsson or the community.  |

Forgot about X10a users.
Will add the firmware tonight.
PS. You have to take into account that uploading one firmware takes me 60 minutes. |

No problem. I'm just hoping I can upgrade the firmware using your X10a files on Monday, because I'm getting my X10a then!
But for others' who're waiting eagerly, if you can find a way to download it, or maybe get someone else to download it for you, then that would be great. I'm assuming you mean you can't download the files needed from the Sony Support site? |

Yes i bought mine from rogers and it was an x10a, and after using the firmware and flashing it with the UK files, it became an x10i.
I'm looking forward to the x10a files, just in case i need to go back to that version. Ty again lollylost100... |

I keep getting an error with the pc companion :
"unable to download your phone software. please check your internet connection or try again later."
Said this last night, saying it now. My internet connection is absolutely fine.
Any ideas (or is anyone else getting this issue?)

I had the same problem when downloading the update engine. I had to retry for almost 10 times before getting it to work.
Having said that, I noticed that 1.0.16 UK version has Chinese menu support, but Chinese hand writing input is missing. I cannot revert to the original rom with an error.

I'm now trying to re-download&install the pc companion but can't even get it off the se website. The following link has been idling for the past 25 mins :
