Surprisingly, in GSM Arena, Satio is within top 3 by rate commanding some 50k votes. Very close to Motorola and HTC !!

@ Rookwise - you didnt by any chance question the staff as to why the phone is still on sale in their store but pulled from all or most other CPW stores ??

Yes I did. They've not had any faults reported from the people who've bought from them and all the batch's they have received have tested fine. However. I was told the Newcastle Under Lyme and Tunstall branches which are also near me in Staffordshire have done a recall on all versions of the Satio.
However. They couldn't explain how the two units i'd tried broke in my hands lol.
On a side note. I've been to one of our local Tesco stores today and they are also still selling the Satio on Orange for free at 35.00 a month for an 18 month contract.

Exactly i cannot understand it.
CPW have recalled it (most of them anyway), so have P4U.
SE are still advertising the Satio on tv and my local bus stop shelter. Most online retailers still stock the phone. Other shops have it and have no reason to recall it - Tesco being one of them. Its annoying me because i wanted a silver Satio on O2 PAYG for the girlfriend but atm i cannot find one local that still stocks them.

Well they say the aino has been withdrawn but i noticed today when driving to work my local bus stop shelters adverting board which displayed the satio now shows the aino. It would seem SE have no problems with the phones from their point of view.

I'll check CPW tomorrow. I need a silver Satio on PAYG for my girlfriends Christmas present. CPW did me a favour though, when the silver Satio was removed from sale i was going to buy one for her for no reason, now they've done that they've saved me buying it and something else. Thanks CPW !

Asked in CPW today and it was back on sale, but no shops near me had it in. They also claimed it wouldnt be available on PAYG anymore. Time will tell.

They have it now on stock but not on Orange And they say they cannot give me the phone (I'm on Orange pay monthly and I have returned my Satio (bad move!) 3 weeks ago) until they are able to sell it on Orange so that they can scan the code.. or some cr** like that. And I don't know when this is gonna happen. they offered me the nokia n97mini but i refused. Can you think of any solution? thanks! |
