I was more upset when John Lennon was shot i remember it. I am big fan of him.
I remember where I was when I heard that news.
Although the death of Michael Jackson is big news, I've heard people comparing to JFK which I don't think is appropriate. Singing and dancing is not on a par with Political Leadership in my opinion. And there won't be an international week of mourning as with Diana, Queen of Hearts.

Id say that this is bigger than when Elvis died though. And people will be mourning this for a long time.

Wow that was fast ;o ,i still cant believe he's gone, watched CNN for like 4hours this morning, saw a bunch of his vids on VH1 at the end of each they say R.I.P ,and i STILL cant believe his no longer with us. He may have not been a politician but just look at how many different cultures/races/countries etc. . .he touched with his music, this guy was known literaly all over the globe and his death has touched 100s of millions, i can see why people compare this to JFK.

Lol I can't believe those douches did a tribute. Couldn't they get some more respectable artists?

i'm sorry but it doesnt really bother me or affect me that he has died.... yes his music was v.good but he has died... everyone dies and yet the world moves on as it will do now that he has died.
God rest his soul but i think its gettin silly the amount of people who never met him in person or got close to him are shocked he has died and are so upset that they feel the need to add comments to facebook and twitter... how about Fara Fawcett? how about all the other people in the world who die from heart attacks every year? How about the terrible things that are still ongoing throughout the world where people are being killed for protesting about change????
I know i will get flamed for this but who cares... LIFE GOES ON!
How is it silly that we feel such a great loss for a man who had an abrupt end at 50 years young and made a whale of an impact to the music world and to millions and millions of lives? Yes, life does go on and mourning is part of that process. Geez some people just antagonize without any thought or solution. Now that's what we can have less of in this world.

So your saying MJ was only big becasue of the arrival of the internet? Please.
Thriller is the biggest selling album of all time. And I am pretty sure that was before itunes or torrents.

Sad thing is we have no one that even comes close to him in terms of his music style - MJ was unique and one of a kind and i doubt there will even be anyone else like him in the future? its so true that the good die young i actually feel that i've lost someone close to me.

Michael Jacksons girlfriend is said to be distraught. She was quoted as saying, "First my parents leave me in portugal and now this!" |
