@Superluminova
Although I knew about the P800 for a while I stopped following news about it along time ago. I have had a couple of T68i as my work horses and been pretty happy with them.
A week and a half ago I started reading here again about the P800 and got interested again and was able to get my hands on one pretty quick.
While I am still holding on to one T68i as backup I am now almost exclusively using the P800 however... I still use my IPAQ 5450 for many things, including browsing using bluetooth through the P800!
I think also people like us need new toys to fill those quiet minutes and in some ways it probably is a power thing too. I ain't no psychologist but I reckon there is some truth in that.

prehaps it can be explained using the same reason that I give my wife when she asks how come I always want nooky... I say its an inheritance of thousands of years of male evolution! |

Yeah the Nokia store is ours, with their branding... Not sure on the Eshop?...could be, or then again it could be theirs and they don't have the best communication!

For all you UK folks:
Have just heard from someone else who spoke to the SE e-shop today:
Quote:
"I have just got some info on release dates and a price from Sony
The first shipment should be in the UK on the 17th of Feb
2nd shipment on the 24th Feb
The price Sim Free from Sony will be £499.99
I got this information from the Sony Eshop Helpline +4408705 238238
If you are in the UK you will be able to order from the website on
this date and via the helpline
Sony have advised me that the shipments should get to the mobile
phone retailers the same time as they get them.
Regards Jason
PS This is all the info I have acquired and thought I would pass on
what I have found."
Still a bit of a wait then!! |

No worries, I agree totally. I only believe my source because it's so detailed.
I will however call them tomorrow regarding my order, and if they say the same thing to me then I think we can assume it to be the truth.
I'm still a bit gutted though, I was expecting the parcel this week |

Hi there..
Thing is, Feb 17th... Feb 10th... Feb 27th... whatever dates people are saying, by the time the shops get it, and you can actually get one (as you just know that all the mobile phone shop managers, and friends of the manager will have their hands on the first batch), it will be March...
And we all know what is going to happen in March! (provided there are no more delays!!!)..... 3 are launching... then for £60 a month you can get like squillions of txts, voice, video and internet minutes...
I'm sooo tempted to get one... and as I heard somewhere that the promotional prices of handsets will be about £200, this puts the phone in reach of me...
(£60 a month may sound expensive, but I'm at Uni and always calling people quickly to find where we're meeting up, or txting people to find out how things are going... so this would actually be more efficient for me than Vodafone at the moment!)
HURRY UP SE... or I'm going with 3!!

Very true.. except coverage isn't going to be amasing and they haven't (to my knowledge) released actual amounts of data or voice included in that package.. I suspect the more realistic one might be the one thats £99 a month.
I can see me buying a SE 3g phone in 12+ months when im bored of the p800, but for now, (as Ive found a version of Chase HQ for mame) I'm hoping mine from the e-shop is in the first batch... |

For that price i would want to insure the phone, do u think i could do that in UK. Got my T68i insured, theres no way im getting the P800 and having some smart a***d kid with a knife try to snatch it.
My T68i costs £7 a month to insure, anyone got a plan or how much u think it would be with what companies in UK as its new? |
