thousands have caught this flew in Aus. Most of them are in Victoria, the state in which i live. 10+ people have now died from it in Victoria, as well as more from other states.

though there have only been deaths because those who have passed from it, have had other illnesses at the same time afaik

Got quite a few cases here in South Africa. Weird i read somewhere that Rupert Grint, from Harry Potter, had cought it but recovered, havent heard of any other case where someone has fully recovered from it.

well i caught mine from my son who caught it from where he works, to me the headaches are the worse, felt like my head was in a vice! then the sneezing and snuffles and the cough! son's now just about got over his just left with a cough, im the same....hardest part is trying to stop yourself from coughing as once you start you cant seem to stop! so end up not being able to get your breath lol...today though feel tons better and to be frank i've felt worse than this when i had normal flu a couple of years ago that laid me up in bed!

Guess we've been lucky as its not been too bad for me and my son
always look on the bright side of life...de dum..de dum..de dum..

Nearly everyone that gets Swine flu fully recovers from it. Here in the UK there have been nearly ten thousand cases of swine flu and only 16 deaths (at least ten of those were people already had underlying health problems).
The press will only report the bad news which makes these things sound worse than they are. From what I have read Swine flu is no worse than normal flu.

Had to leave work on Wednesday cos of this and some other girl was sent home today.

Symptoms are mild though, just feel stuffy and got the gallops. Should be OK for Monday, hopefully.

There are 2 babies with it on the same ward as my daughter at north staffs city general in the PICU. Ones been there a while and the other came in last week. They've had to adapt their x ray room for one of the children as the ward only has one isolation room. Before going back to North Staffs 2 weeks ago. We were at Birmingham childrens hospital for 5 weeks and there were 5 on the same ward (109) with swine flu. They were also in the side rooms.

12 more confirmed admissions have come to north staffs today. All children. The PICU where we are is in between 4 wards and access has been blocked to parts of them and we are not to use the entrances to the wards. Got to go in and out the back entrance to get anywhere. Been speaking to one of the parents and they've been told their child is too far gone and Dr's are expecting the worst.

Myself and my youngest brother have been feeling a little under the weather past few days though nothing serious. We both have ear infections just hope it dont turn into something else. I work everyday with the general public and i could get it anytime though its not something that worries me so much as i know help is there.
