Well you can't expect a tiny cell phone camer sensor to be able to capture good photos in insufficiently lit environments. There's bound to be noise. ESPECIALLY when you pump up the brightness. That's why the flash's there.
Exactly. That's been mentioned about 3 times now. Not sure where this argument is going!

I have not yet seen a digital camera that can take a decent picture in artificial light.
Take some pictures OUTSIDE in the DAYLIGHT, and then post back.

Well if you want to complain about noise go look at the nokia n93 pics, which basically has no noise reduction algorithm at all. Your pictures don't seem too bad to me as far as noise is concenred
Sounds to me that you expected just a little bit too much from "8.1 megapixels" but by it's nature a small sensor with lots of megapixels will have more noise- and of course sport mode is going to give you a grainy image, if i'm not mistaken it increases the iso value. |

For K750-firmware is R1035
camera 4.5
Still beleive that camera (on C905) can do better job. Firmware has the problem with post process. I beleive that may be solved somehow |

Maybe just because C905 is still new |

Specifically for panonski, I still think that you should sell it and buy yourself a digital camera. Because even Renoir and INNOV8 still have noise in their pics.

is this somekind of hardware problem, coz there's one review on se-nse.
they compare the 8,1 C905 with 10mp nikon D10!!!!
and, wow, amazing!!!
c905 pic quality is close to nikon d10!!!
kill ur phone, then go to se center to get replacement....
still in warranty? |

Pfff, how dare they compare a phone to a DSLR. Even if some shots turn out to be comparable, for serious photography a DSLR will always (now and in the future, untill they know how to produce nanolenses) beat the crap out of any camphone. Who uses his DSLR for snapshots will be better of with a phonecam or compact camera.
jordyzzz, could you place a link here to that review you mentioned?

8mp on a tiny cmos sensor was never gonna work, it's the cell size on the sensor that makes the difference C702 is 2.5µm, c902 is 2.0µm , unsure what the c905 is but it's smaller than the c902's, the new 12mp exor sensor is 1.4µm, mobile should be left for quick snaps but you make quick snaps at 8mp resolution a resolution like that is for printing out posters the size of small cars, or for 50inch screens if you need 8mp resolution photos then buy a digicam. It's the noise reduction that makes the photos a smeary mess it would actually be better to have more noise & more detail like the C702 than you could pos-process them yourself.
C702 iso250 Straight from phone,

processed with neat image

To show how badly the c905 lacks detail heres too 100% crops,
C905 8mp autofocus

nokia 6630 1.23mp fixedfocus

Just for a rough idea not a direct comparasion, other than resolution not much difference in the amount of details.

tottaly agree. . . :) by the way, is that kind of thing possible to solve with camdrive or some other parameters. I notice very high differencies between predefinition shoot modes. Obviosly this must be in camdrive. I beleive that camera must done much better job :)

Theres nothing regarding the noise reduction in the camdriver, lower iso and longer shutter speed would help a bit but even on iso 64 the c905 uses mega powerful noise reduction.
