Proud owner of the best phone ever! Have it since Jan'02 and the longest I have had a phone! Before it was 2 months! Thinking about getting a Samsung SGH-V200, but will keep my T68i!
SE must come up with a successor of the legend!  |

Just got mine Jan 2nd.. My first cell phone.. $25.00 on Amazon.com w/ T-mobile $19.99/ month plan.. I feel like this is all practically free!!! Big grin. Have some nice sexy background photos uploaded (animated too) and all of my phone numbers are now happily organized in Outlook which I can sync with the T68i so easily... I feel so organized.. Need to get 10 posts so my lovely little phone shows up next to my name..  Cheers.... |

Originally bought my T68m in March 2002, after getting fed up of the problems on my Nokia 6210, and experienced CRAP service trying to get it fixed by Nokia where the Screen broke 1 month after buying in April 2001, coz of shoddy manufacturing - retaining screw on display was driven in at an angle. Nokia refused to honour the warenty, saying they do not warenty screen damage, even though it was THIER fault. Had to purchase my own screen, and fix it myself. Since then shoddy reception, and constantly needed "opening up" to clean antenna contacts. Poorly built phone, worst i ever had.
Decided to go back to Ericsson because of known better experience(had a R320s before the 6210, and that STILL is going strong, and is used occasionally). Initially was worried by "slow" response of menus and texting (a problem also with the R320s), and decided to go for the T68m. Gorgeous looking phone. Although the "slowness" was there which i managed to deal with by using my old chatboard i got with teh R320, it was more than offset by the superb features, and it was just such a small artful phone.
Since then, upgraded the software added MMS, Changed the front face to a T68i (whilst still retaining the black rubber back - try it, i think it makes a really good combination), got the MP3 player, etc. Convinced my sister to get a T68i too.
The phone is simply amazing, I still feel like i have a modern, decent phone, even though it is nearly a year old now. Build quality is excellent. Very durable despite its small size. Excellent service from Ericsson such as software upgrades.
Usable business features (i have stopped carrying my Palm Pilot as much as i used to, as the phone contained virtually all the PDA features i needed). Email, sych with contact/todo/calendar of outlook, larga capacity voice dialing, usable sound recorder, auto profile switching, blue tooth. This is a notice to all those intrested in getting the P800, there is no doubt that the P800 is an ultimate PDA/Phone, and for those who need it, should get it, however bear in mind the T68i may be more than enough for most users when connected to outlook.
Also despite the business features, it is also a cute sexy phone, with plenty of amusement features too. Although monophonic, its melody system far surpasses any other phone I have seen, with control of lights, and vibrator, and ability to select many octaves, and controllable repeat (i am a budding musician). Customisation of the phone doesnt require third party applications (Logomanager etc) just send the file via infrared (jpg, gif, imy, amr, etc), oh and not to forget the sexy Bluetooth led! One of the "features" that still blows people out of the water is the LED test in the service menu. Never fails to attract a crowd!
I could keep on and on. This phone is definately something and will become a legand in its own right, and congrats to ericsson for making it possible. My only worry is whether SE can follow it up, because the T68i was a revolution, any future phoen will simply be an evolution.
I also have a T300, but that is cleary an entertainment phone, and is like comparing a mustang and mercedes.

I've started with the T68 in October 2001 (lunar grey)... bought a T68i mineral grey a few months ago and purchased a T68mc converted to i 2 weeks ago for a bragain... 3 generations of T68s are with me now with differenet accounts.
My phones combined with a BT PDA or notebook satisfy my needs for the meantime and I can't foresee any change in the near future. |

You can upgrade the software/firmware but not its classic design. Try to compare you'll see the difference. So many will throw stones to a mango tree that bears sweet fruit.
