I'm 75% deaf, so i wont comment on anything related to sound quality
i second that.
awards doesn't justify the audio quality.
its like saying britney spears won 3 awards, doesnt mean she really good singer. ew.

W890 got the nod of TESTfactory for superb audio capabilities.
That was achieved with w890 NOT having a DSP...
How much more if w890 has one?
Ponder on that.
Personal preference &/or judgment on audio quality is incomparable to
profesional audio testings.
The latter weighs more credibility.

Firstly, check your spellings and grammar, you're a disgrace to the English language. Secondly, i have used more SE and nokia phones than you can count up to. Whether you want to believe it or not, i wont lose sleep over it, but the undisputed fact of the matter is that SE is at the bottom of the barrel in terms of sound quality. Moto, samsung and nokia both not only pass but slaughter SE in that regard. I suggest you clean up your ear for once, and have a listen to N81 or the latest Moto ROKR phones.
I can bet my bottom dollar neither you, nor nightblade have used either of the phones i mentioned. If some worthless awards does it for you, well that just about sums it up.
P.S SE is just BSing them selves if they think 'clear audio' will help matters.

I was just having a laugh. Who cares about spelling, thats how we roll in NZ
Personally I never use my phone for playing music (maybe sometimes I use the loudspeaker) that's what my walkman is for

I have tried W910, W980 and Nokia N81... Test all of them using hpm-77 (tried in a store)
N81 is better than W910...
But W980 with clear audio experience is better than N81. I'm audiophile, btw. End of story.

How about checking *your* grammar, punctuation and spellings before criticizing others, eh? Anyone with even a modicum of knowledge about the English language can easily spot tons of mistakes in your posts.
This is a global forum with an overwhelming majority of members who aren't native English speakers. We're out here to help each other and profess our love of mobile phones, not ridicule over the omission of a comma, gerund or upper-case alphabet. For that kind of stuff, head over to one of the countless ESL forums that dot the web.
That said, OMGZZZZ zis izzz like craziee u kno!%!~

Why would you bother bashing W902 for more than 1 post if you don't like it? This thread was made to help someone make his decision. You already posted your opinion of how horrible the phone is so end it there.
Or do you just want to start another fanboy war? |

so true. the gullibility of people is simply astounding. there are even people that actually take 'awards' at face value. there are also people who believe in fairies, pink elephants, and the w910/w980/whatever being the best music phone

I guess it's safe to say that EISA were paid a bit of money when they voted the N95 as the best multimedia phone out there back in 2006?
Come on people, EISA is much better than that.
Anyway, as for the W980i, I believe it may not be the best music phone but was given the award as an overall package by EISA. The other award (Test factory), I'm not too sure about that considering that What-Hifi mag thought the Iphone was a better music player than the W980i. Even the Samsung in that review did better than the W980i.
SE walkman phones are actually not bad but not quite there when compared to the best in the industry.
Makes you wonder what would happen if they give in and add DSP chips in their players. I bet then (with clear audio technology) they would be ahead of the rest, unbeatable. But then, with Sony electing to cut corners they will always play second fiddle to others.
It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009 |
